great pencil
we have used the #2 pencil for years but the latest batch were too light. We tried these #2.5 pencils which worked great! Very happy.

Softer than Papermate Mirado graphite
Pencils are very nice, but the graphite is softer than the Papermate Mirado pencils with the same "hardness" rating of 2 1/2 F. I couldn't find a box of the Papermate Mirado pencils on Amazon, so decided to try Dixon. I prefer the Papermate ones.

The quality of these pencils is simply marvelous! Dixon Ticonderoga pencils are a classic.
My favorite pencils have always been and will always be Dixon Ticonderoga pencils. The cedar wood, the distinctive green ferrule, and the overall appearance make this pencil a sight to see. The only unfortunate fact about these pencils is they are no longer made in the U.S.A. The current design, in my opinion, isn't as fancy as when they were made a couple decades ago. Oh well, it's just a pencil, right? I happen to be a 12-year-old who is obsessed with pencils (Dixon Ticonderoga pencils, of course), and I know their history and things of that sort. I conclude this article by informing you that in the end, these pencils turn out to be the best quality around to this day, even if they're not manufactured in the U.S.A. My goal is to come across a box of these pencils made in the U.S.A. if I'm lucky.

The best!
I've used these for the last thirty years and whenever I use another pencil, I'm always reminded why I like these so much. IDK why they use the #2 in schools. I much prefer the harder 2.5 because they do not leave a dirty residue and these certainly are dark enough for any application I've ever needed.

Responsive seller
There was a problem with the actual country of origin as described online, and seller was responsive and made it right.

Quality pencils worth the extra cost.
Will always sharpen to a point that does not snap off like #2 pencils. I believe I can write twice as long on one sharpening with my #2.5 pencil. Harder lead and better quality wood is worth the extra cost.

Great pencils!
These 2-1/2 lead pencils are great for writing numbers in a small space. The lead prints very fine, yet is very clear to read. The erasers are also top quality if you happen to need a correction. These are my favorite pencils.
