I absolutely LOVE the lipstick! It looks light pink and sheer, but as soon as you put it in it changes to a lovely shade of pink. I use it for both lipstick and cream blush. (Powder blush has always looked awful on me.) I also love the inclusion of two shades of foundation powder. They aren’t as powdery as most powders. (Older skin hates powder!) one of shades is perfect match for me, and I am ridiculously hard to match since I have an olive skin tone- European, Germanic olive tones, and not usual southern climes olive tone. So yeah, I seldom find any concealer or foundation to match. Very surprised. Of course I only use it where skin is a bit uneven and not all over face as a base. Still, can’t see it as soon as I put it in.The eye colors look nice but I tend to use cream shadows lately, if at all. I don’t even use the powder blush included since the lipstick is perfect.I don’t know how to rate the value. This brand expensive, but I don’t regret buying it!

This pallet has most of what you need for a quick makeup application. The colors are beautiful for a natural glow with two shades of powder to contour with a clever folding brush provided. The medium pallet works well for my medium to light skin. It also has two eye shadows that are easy to blend with an applicator also provided. I also really like the pink cheek and lip stick. It is sheer, hydrating and also a lovely color. I purchased this brand because my dermatologist recommended it for non-pore blocking qualities. The only improvement I would suggest to the company would be to add a mascara and eyebrow pencil to make it a complete "on the go" makeup application. I will definitely buy another one to use when this one is gone.

Im trying JI products for the first time. This is a great way to try out 2 complementing foundations, a matching blush, 2 eye shadows, and the lipgloss. Do watch/read on how to apply this powder foundation, its not applied like other powder foundations where you load your brush, and apply in a buffing circular motion. JI powder foundation you load up brush and apply in downward strokes (no buffing).Pros -It goes on very smooth but looks cake-y powdery for about 5 min. Then sets into a very nice smooth cashmere type look. I only use primer under the foundation, and do not use the setting spray (yet lol). So setting spray and a good moisturizer would prob make a lot of difference. But even without, after a few minutes its very velvety looking.The eyeshadows are very pigmented, a little goes along way, and very buildable if you want to go even darker in crease.I received the pink lipgloss in mine, which I was very concerned about being A) I don't like pink, and B) my complexion does not like pink (olive toned). Id really rather have the peach they gave in liter shades kits. I applied it the first time, and it actually changes shades and developed into a nice plum type color on me. It reminds me of IT Cosmetics lipstick that goes on clear and then changes shades based on your body chemistry. Although its 'pink' don't worry, its actually a really pretty shade and not pink at all once applied (at least on me).Cons -I only have 2 complaints really. 1 is the applicator brushes they include are completely worthless, don't even bother trying to use them. It would be nice for almost $40 if they would give you real trial/travel sized brushes of their regular brushes so we can try out those too, or even the flocked sponge for foundation and just leave the eyeshadow applicators out all together. Seriously, just toss them when you open the box and use your own brushes.My 2nd complaint is about the box itself. Although its pretty to present the products in this box, it really makes it a nightmare trying to use the products because you have to be so meticulous and perfect when loading up brushes (the powders fly out everywhere and land in all the other products, so I have foundation in my eyeshadow tray, and eyeshadow in my foundation trays, and blush everywhere in everything), or carry them with you anywhere while in the 5x5x2 HARD box with hard sharp corners. It would be so much better if the pans of products were removable so you could place them in a makeup case for travel/work/on-the-go use. They could even design/include a little JI square tin about the size of a Altoids tin (prob less then $1 to make), to place the products into after you've opened the presentation box to give you an option if you prefer to not use these while attached inside the box. Its to awkward and takes up too much space in a purse to carry this box anywhere other then your bathroom vanity. I would love to buy another JI Simple Makeup Kit for travel use only, the products are perfect size to take on a weekend getaways or vacation. But NOT in this hard box. JI if your listening/reading, please include some type of option to either remove the products from the box to place in our own makeup trays for travel, or design a gorgeous 3x4x1 tin (about the size of a lozenges tin) to carry your amazing products with us :)Oh and one last thought, I wish they would sell trial/travel sized brushes of their Handi brush and eyeshadow brushes. I would love to try the Handi brush, but I don't want to spend $40 on a brush I don't know if Im even gonna like. A smaller version for $10 would be great to try it, and use as a travel brush. Then if customers like it, they can order the full size $40 brushes for home use :)

I have never tried this product before but this set gave me an opportunity to try at an affordable price. I love it! I'm 72 with, what I'm told, a great complexion. The only wrinkles I have are around my lips. Ugh! Even so, I was hesitant to buy a mineral "powder" because I thought it might make my pores look larger or emphasize wrinkles. It doesn't at all. I'm very happy with this. I also love the blush and shadow.Normally, I like a makeup that will give me a "glow" or "radiant" look. Even though this does not, it does give me a lovely, natural coverage.I read about their primer that gives a glow. Has anyone tried? My skin is more on the medium - dry side.PS: I am not sure about how this would travel. I would wrap it in bubble wrap or a towel to insure it doesn't break if put in a suitcase. A purse, I think, would be fine.

Beautiful makeup. It feels good on my sensitive skin and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes. I love that this is a trial size, so I can try out these colors and products to find out if they work for me without investing a ton of money. However, although they are small portions, they last a long time, and you don’t need a lot of product to get good color-payoff. I have fair to light colored skin tone and have found the medium and medium/dark to both work for me. The medium dark will work better during the summer months, as I get a bit more color on my face then. I also use the bronzer compact in sunbeam and love it!!

On paper, this was exactly what I wanted for traveling. However, it seems like a kit for children. The makeup doesn’t stay on the brush-it just falls off in little crumbles when I tried to apply it. Disappointed.

I love, love Jane Iredale cosmetics and was thrilled to find this kit on Amazon. I didn't realize Amazon had a "Luxury Beauty" line? How great, I thought!You can imagine my shock and disgust when my much anticipated package arrived unsealed and obviously pre-opened, likely returned and re-sold? Yikes!!! There is no savings great enough to accommodate that .. I don't suggest buying from this department, there is no health & safety or quality control. Buy luxury brands from your local boutique cosmetic counter where you can be assured they are clean and sanitary .. our health is too important to take chances.Enjoy Jane Iredale the brand. It is wonderful and excellent quality makeup.

Es muy hermoso, pero el labial es pequeñísimo, para mí muy lindo pero podrían considerarlo un robo por el tamaño, en mi opinión es de calidad y muy lindo.
