Mind-Reach: Scientists Look at Psychic Abilities (Studies in consciousness)

I watched 'Third Eye Spies' on Amazon Prime with some scepticism. I had heard about 'remote viewing' in the 90s, that the CIA had ploughed millions into trying to train humans to 'see' remote places with their minds, and successfully revealing Russian Cold War secrets using it, but what happened to it? Just like the science of cold fusion, there was a sustained media campaign to discredit it. But as scientists say, if you can produce something and get a positive result, even one time out of ten, this must mean there is something going on that warrants further analysis to uncover what it 'is' that creates it. So perhaps they didn't want ordinary people 'seeing' through the eyes of the President? Either way, it is claimed roughly 80% of people can do this and whilst I am apparently not very good, we can all make ourselves better at it. With science (physics) now starting to awaken to the idea of panpsychism (that even atoms have a small amount of consciousness), and melding that with Eastern cultures understanding that consciousness is 'one', perhaps it isn't so far fetched to consider that perhaps there is more to consciousness than meets the third eye?! A brilliant read, one I strongly recommend.

While the scientific research is now a little dated (1970s) this book has been a very valuable read for me. It has answered numerous questions, confirmed to me a number of things that I thought that I already knew, and offered me many things to think about. I honestly believe that this book will have proven itself to have been a springboard for me, when I reflect back in a few years time.Some people will not be able to feel comfortable with its contents, others will no doubt deny what these scientists have done, while others will get "ah-ha" moments.Whether you are a mainstream scientist who is willing to critically consider the work of fellow mainstream scientists who have dared to explore the boundaries, or someone who things that they are "psychic", read the book, carefully. It could help you take a positive forwards step in life.

Y no le queda otra posibilidad que tiene que esforzarse hasta los límites, en una competición evolutivo y muy muy tecnológico. El tiempo es fundamental y está dificultando el desarrollo nuestra filosofía es totalmente inadaptada a nuestra época porque el intelectual se resiste a penetrar en los conocimientos de la ciencia, no por miedo al esfuerzo, sino porque presiente que traería consigo un cambio en los modelos de pensamiento y de expresión de los valores ya oficialmente admitidos. Although the material in this book is old, it’s well worth reading. It reminds us of the narrow view science holds as truth. It also reminds us the power of the mind is enormous, that consciousness is the matrix of all things and we are free to explore anything we choose to.
