The media could not be loaded.  I got this toy 'Uzi' as part of some outdoors playtime for me the dog. I launch the water balls and she tries to find them. They make a thud and splat. If they hit her, it's just enough to make her look around and try to find it. Everything is a game to my dog, anyway. She really likes this one.I would NOT let my kid take this toy gun to a park or other public place. It looks too much like the real thing, without the 'grenade' magazine attached. It's painted bright colors. But, that really doesn't mean much in this world. You can take a real gun and paint it bright orange. Take this one and paint it solid black.Otherwise, this water pellet gun IS a lot of FUN. It's amazing how many rounds the magazine will hold. It only takes 1/4th of a teaspoon of the dry pellets to make a whole load of 'ammo'. And, they give you plenty. Two different colors in packets of LOTS of ammo. And, two packets of GLOW IN THE DARK ammo.The gun fires rapid bursts. I guess if you just squeeze and release, you can get off fewer shots. But, where's the fun in that? The ammo lasts a lot longer than I expected. I shot off countless rounds in the back yard and still had plenty left in the magazine. I wish that there were two batteries. I can see that having to recharge would be the only thing holding up the 'war games' or 'cops and robbers'.The water balls fairly disintegrate if the hit a target with enough velocity. The tiny fragments that remain will release any remaining water into the atmosphere and shrink down to smaller than a grain of sand.The detachable hand strap is great for stabilizing your grip. The clip that it connects to is NOT permanently attached. Just pull off the tip of the muzzle and the clip slides right off.As mentioned, it only takes a tiny amount of the dry 'seeds' to make a BUNCH of ammo. I just placed 1/4 teaspoon in a one pint jar and filled the jar with water. About four hours later, the jar was filled to the point of running over with ammo.Assembly is simple. All the gun parts just push on and twist off. In my first practice session, the muzzle and 'silencer' fell off. I guess I didn't push them on tight enough.My one nitpick with this gun would be that it occasionally 'jams'. As you're firing rapid bursts, the pellets stop flowing and you're shooting 'blanks'. To remedy this, stop firing, turn the gun upside down and shake it. Then, turn it back upright and continue firing. It's not a big deal. Only takes a few seconds. But, still bothersome. For kids, it's probably a nonissue.Overall, this toy gun is a lot of fun. Makes me wish I had two of them and someone else to play with. I think it's a great way to get the kids out of the house, get them active and really exercise. Five stars.

I purchased this product for my 10 year old (Nerf loving) son and he loves it! It's a step above nerf guns and a step below paintball guns. The different accessories make it fun for him to go into different shooting "modes", though they don't really change anything about the functionality. The pellets hurt less than most Nerf ammo. They don't always explode when they hit you and they do dissolve into the ground. This gun shoots rapid-fire style and has a range of about 20 feet, more if you angle it up.When we first opened the package, we thought the ammo was missing. However, it starts as tiny pellets that are about the size of a poppy seed. Once they soak in water, they grow to about the size in the picture. I did do a whole package at once and needed to keep adding water as it got absorbed over the course of the 4 hour soak time.I would suggest using a funnel to pour the ammo into the hopper and cartridge. The beads are bouncy and are hard to pick up off the floor if you spill them when loading.

Aside having to wait for the Orbies to grow, this thing is amazing. My husband is a huge fan and so are the kids. The battery was charged right outta the package, so that's a huge plus. I read reviews saying that it didn't shoot very far . . . The one I got shot at least 50 ft. We did not shoot each other but, my husband shot himself in the hand to see if the impact would hurt and he winced saying that yeah, it hurt. We will be buying a second gun for this summer. So much fun!

Gel balls made exactly how instructed. Loaded gun and they shoot a max of 10 feet, if they even come out of the gun at all. Most just fall out or shoot a foot or so. This is the case with both guns I bought. Garbage

This shooter is so much fun for kids and adults alike! It uses little gel balls that are safe for most ages to use. Eco friendly, easy to assemble and use. It’s a BLAST for all of the family!

The gun shoots great and it comes with a decent amount of accessories but it’s a bit less powerful that what you expect.
