For the people buying this for shavers and tooth brushes then leaving bad reviews this is because your buying an incorrect item this is to convert a standard EU 2pin plug to a UK 3 pin plug for low power device's such as lamps dvd players mini hifis ect

I bought a lamp from German IKEA and it came with a 2 pin plug. I needed a way to use it with a UK 3-pin socket that would be very slimline, as I have a narrow space to fit it in. Regular travel-style adapters made it very bulky and were always loose.This converter arrived quickly and works perfectly. It was extremely easy to install - the screw was already loosened so I simply had to open it up, click the 2-pin plug into place and then tighten the screw. Worked great!The plastic does feel light and fairly cheap, but I don't see it becoming an issue, and you can't complain for the price.Supplying in a cardboard box or paper wrap would have been more environmentally friendly than the plastic bag it came in.

Unfortunatly when it arrived I realized that the lead to my electric shaver with USA adapter wasn't going to fit because of the way the shaver was designed. I lent it to a collegue the next day who ironically said he needed to order one and he said it works a treat so here's Jeff's words:"Insidia sucks for not looking at the shavers cabling before hand because it was obvious it was never going to fit; but it works great for my electric screwdriver that has an American adapter; for the price i'd Highley recommended this product."Cheers Jeff

Do not buy this item if you want to use it to convert a 2-prong "shaver" style plug. The one I received does not fit, even after cutting away several obstructing pieces of plastic. The metal receptacles inside are slightly too far apart, and there are pieces of the plastic body that prevent my Oral-B toothbrush charger from plugging in. I will be searching for something else that works. Not good.
