A Wonderful Surprise
I ordered this book because of its title. I surmised that it would provide light hearted entertainer moments, which it did! The,surprise? The times of reflecting on the joys and sorrows of life and my responses at any given time. This book is both hilariously entertaining and inspirational. I enjoyed it from beginning to end!

Very funny book.
This is an excellent book, I really enjoyed it from beginning to end; my only complaint is that the end came too soon, I wasn't ready to put the book down! The subtitle is "Living, Laughing, Loving Life After Forty!" - I think perhaps "...After Sixty" would have been more accurate, for most people anyway, but that's a very minor issue. It was easy to recognise the symptoms of advancing age in the examples in the book - from my mother's life of course, not mine!(I wish!) - and it was somehow comforting to know that I'm not alone, and have a good laugh. The author is a Christian, and there are small mentions of her faith in the book, but I don't think it would be enough to put many people off. (I am a Christian, so for me it was a plus.)

Funny and provokes laughter
The funny side of aging, and yes there is one!. Those of a certain age and beyond can relate to Martha's humorous observations about the changes of body and mind that take us by surprise as we transition from the age where we can pretend we're young, to the age were we have to face the facts that our skin not longer fits like it used to. Its nice to be able to laugh about what is than cry about what used to be.

Brilliant book
Made me laugh out loud a few times, but also contains a few pieces of wisdom which are worth taking with you. Definitely worth reading.

One of the funniest books
I'm just about finished reading DIDN'T MY SKIN USED TO FIT. This is one of the funniest books I've read on the subject of life after 40 to date.It is easy to see why Martha Bolton is a writer for comedians. Her humor is wonderful and really makes being over 40 sound hilarious. Her writing is right on the mark and makes those of us who fit into this category feel like we're not alone. My favorite chapter is about HMO's and the waffle iron being used for a mammogram! There are many books written about the subject but I encourage anyone who is looking for a fun read aabout life after 40 to read this book. For me, I couldn't put it down.
