Final Edit, the Final Hours of Your Final Draft

Very Useful
There are probably 4 broad levels of novel editing:A) Big-Picture EditAKA developmental, structural or substantive editing, this kind of editing involves moving large chunks of text around and possibly cutting some sections as well. It addresses the structure of a book — how everything hangs together.B) Paragraph-Level EditAKA stylistic or line editing, this kind of editing involves recasting sentences for clarity and flow. It can also involve moving sentences around so that your meaning is clear.C) Sentence-Level EditAKA copy editing, this kind of editing addresses grammar, usage and consistency issues.D) Word-Level EditAKA proofreading, this kind of editing addresses typos, repeated words (the the), spelling, punctuation and formatting issues (how things look on a page) as they occur in your book’s final environment. As the person who gets 1st read through you'll be the one doing the initial editing until you deem it qualified to show to others for feedback and/or further edits. Now this book serves to give you that "the final after the final" brush ups on your WIP using the word processing power of a computer. A sort of search and destroy any last vestige of errors overlooked by human eyes. Now this book addresses a niche market that is very sparse -- which is, maximizing the editing power of your computer to polish your novel by going over and beyond the simple MS Word grammar/typo checker et al. It takes you through things like common mistakes, to "wildcard" searches, to problematic punctuation and much more. One of the few other books out there I'm aware of that fills this market void is "Write In Style by Bobbie Christmas." Now this book is the 2nd.If you have an adequate grasp of computing then I recommend you try this book.
