Succinct guide, excellent selection

Incomprehensible
This slim collection provides the curious reader with a sample of US poet Emily Dickinson’s works from which to explore further if desired. I certainly won’t be reading anymore of her poems as I neither understood or liked any of them. I found them to be completely inaccessible and unreadable. Most of them are very short and they are filled with hyphens and unnecessarily capitalised words. Couldn’t make sense of them at all. Maybe a keen student or an academic could appreciate them but they passed my by. I reckon you would need to be taught how to read and comprehend them, like my son has in his A2 studies. To be honest if I was clearing this reclusive poet’s room after her death and found these poems I would just have thrown them into the bin, not have got them published.

I am still waiting for it to arrive.
I do not hate the book as I am sure it will be wonderful but the length of time it is taking is unacceptable
