Eating Disorder Recovery Two Charms Necklace. This is a thick solid sterling silver box chain with two symbols. HEART and EATING DISORDER RECOVERY. This piece shows that we need to love ourselves no matter how good or bad our day is. We need to forgive our mistakes and move forward. This piece is made in sterling silver and includes 18" sterling silver chain. The pendants are oxidized - they have thin black borders, to emphasize the design. The eating disorder pendant is 1.5" long. Oxidation: A piece of blackened or oxidized silver is true sterling silver, but it’s surface has been intentionally darkened through by introducing it to a chemical process. When sterling silver is dipped into special solution – black oxide film is formed, giving the metal a black/gray surface color. The entire piece is darkened, but then the raised parts are polished back to silver color, thereby leaving a nice contrast between the raised and lowered parts (crevices) of the piece of jewelry. Like other patinas, oxidized silver is just a surface treatment and does not change the internal color or properties of the metal. Variations: All of the products at my shop are cast in small batches (5-7 pieces) and individually hand finished. So they are one of a kind creations and not factory manufactured. As a result products will have variations from one piece to the next, caused by variations in the sterling silver as well as the hand crafting. The images, descriptions and measurements you will find in the description have been used to best portray the products I sell. The pieces you receive are at least 99% similar to the pictures.
