Q: I have a 5490 bed made in 1998. My 9 pin connector is black, not blue. Mine has different serial number. Will yours work?

I don't know which mine is, as I have since gotten a new hospital bed. However, this remote should work for a 5490. Mine was old, too. And this replacement remote did work with it. Worst case scenario, I think you'd be able to return it. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Yes. The assembly is 8 foot 4 inches. The remote is 5 inches, and the connector is 2 inches, leaving 7 foot 9 inches of cord. Hope this answers your query.

I can't tell you about that specific model, but if the bed has a 9-pin connector, most likely it will. I bought it for a generic semi-electric bed and took my chances. Try to check the connection in the bed. Hope this helps.

This pendant has a nine pin "SVGA'" type connector. I did some research on line, and it appears that your bed has a round connector. Thus, it won't work. Check your connector. If it has 4 on top & 5 on the bottom, it should work. If it is round, then absolutely not. Hope this helps.
