GORGEOUS !!
What a beautiful board !! The colours are lovely. The counters are so tactile. I love that the velvet is inlaid rather than the usual sewn - it makes for very smooth play. This is a luxury sized board and is so elegant - would probably take a smaller one away with me. This board has now totally ruined me for all other boards - it's the nicest board I've ever owned (and I have a LOT of backgammon boards). Incredible value for money. Highly recommend.

Lovely checkers, smooth playing field but has quality control issues
This is a review of the range of boards as I have bought 3 of them. The first board I had was the one with yellow pips and it was lovely to play with beautiful pearlescent checkers. However the pips started peeling off within 2 weeks so I had to return it. I decided to give another try and bought a medium sized 15inch one with green background. That was lovely, no faults and remains one of my favourite boards to carry around. Then I decided to try my luck again and bought the black and grey one. Unfortunately, the board does not lie flat when opened.Hence,my conclusion is that whilst the checkers are lovely and the playing field is very smooth, the quality control is poor. If you get one that is faultless, then it is actually excellent value for money and you will enjoy playing on it. Unfortunately, if you happen to get one with minor defects,then it can be disappointing. However, with Amazon, you can return and exchange for another one.In terms of accessories, the dice is also made of pearlescent material. The doubling cube is small and could be bigger, but does the job. The dice cups are fairly standard, not the best quality and I don’t tend to use these oval cups anyway.Also note that the brown and blue sets have sturdier, stand out handles compared to the other sets with black leatherette exterior.

Perfect Backgammon
Really happy with the quality of the whole set.Everything about this Set is perfect, from the dice, counters and the case too. Absolutely gorgeous.Highly recommended.

Really lovely set v happy with it. Probably a little big to travel with but suits our needs.

Nice but flawed
This is a very nice Backgammon set, well made but it wont lay flat when opened, maybe mine is a one off but not really worth it if one side is about half an inch off the table when opened up. A bit of a stretch to call this luxury and If this is a common problem then for the money it's not worth it.
