Miles and Miles of Reptiles: All About Reptiles (The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library)

Great Series
My son loves the Cat in the Hat's Learning Science books. He reads them on his own and we also use them in school time. They are re-readable favorites. I don't think this particular book did a good job of distinguishing between crocodiles and alligators. (Or how to tell a snake from a legless lizard). My main issue was how confused we got about the gators. The text seemed to imply that Florida in the USA had crocodiles, when actually it has mostly alligators with far less crocodiles. When it talks about Florida it only talks about crocs when its not the main species. So we all were instantly confused. But honestly how many of us will need to ID the difference - we live in California and won't need that skill set.

A PERFECT BLEND OF FUN AND EDUCATION - PERFECT FOR HOMESCHOOLING
The Cat in the Hat Learning Library books are fantastic! Each book is incredibly educational while also being fun and engaging. It’s a winning combination. I can not recommend them highly enough. We have bought nearly all of the books. Even though my younger daughter has aged past them, she insists we keep buying them and will not part with them. This is a bit of a bone of contention in my house, because my older daughter teaches and wants them in her classroom. Our compromise is that my older daughter sneaks out one book at a time on an as-needed basis - and brings it right back! Before you read these books, you should probably start with:The Cat in the HatThe Cat in the Hat Comes BackHere are the Cat in the Hat Learning Library books as of 11/26/19, in order of release date:Is a Camel a Mammal?: All About MammalsFine Feathered Friends: All About BirdsWish for a Fish: All About Sea CreaturesOh Say Can You Say Di-no-saur?: All About DinosaursOn Beyond Bugs: All About InsectsThere’s No Place Like Space!: All About Our Solar SystemOh Say Can You Seed?: All About Flowering PlantsOh the Things You Can Do That are Good for You!: All About Staying HealthyA Great Day for Pup: All About Wild BabiesThere’s a Map on My Lap!: All About MapsIf I Ran the Rainforest: All About Tropical RainforestsInside Your Outside!: All About the Human BodyOh Say Can You Say What’s the Weather Today: All About WeatherOh, the Pets You Can Get!: All About Our Animal FriendsClam-I-Am!: All About the BeachI Can name 50 Trees Today: All About TreesA Whale of a Tale: All About Porpoises, Dolphins, and WhalesMy Oh My - a Butterfly: All About ButterfliesOne Cent, Two Cents, Old Cent, New Cent: All About MoneyMiles and Miles of Reptiles: All About ReptilesWould You Rather Be a Pollywog: All About Pond LifeIce Is Nice: All About the North and South PolesWhy Oh Why are Deserts DrySafari, So Good!: All About African WildlifeIf I Ran the Dog Show: All About DogsIf I Ran the Horse Show: All About HorsesHark! Fun way to learn facts without knowing your learning?
Dr. Zeuss learning library books are so much fun to read, and at the same time you're learning some great facts. My grandsons, 5 and 3, love listening to them, and talking about what they've learned.

Love Dr. Seuss
This was yet again another great book for our homeschooling. We are studying reptiles and this of course fit really well into our study! Can’t go wrong with Dr. Seuss!

Fun and Informative
It is definitely one of the best books about fascinating world of reptiles of all sizes, shapes and forms. The book answers most commonly asked questions by kids about reptiles, like "what the difference between a croc and an alligator?" and many more. There is also scientific information that as an adult we never came across, but no worries, adults can memorize it too thanks to the fun easy to recite rhymes. The rhymes make the biology study so fun, you will want to find more books like this one. It is a great gift idea and it is a keeper for your home library. My 4 year old loves it and he will cherish it when he goes to school.
