Needed something small to fit in front of the middle section of a sofa with reclining seats on both ends.This ottoman was right sized because both recliners could be in use without the ottoman being in the way. Decorative stitching on lid adds visual interest. Storage under the lid provides a nice compartment for a throw. Flip the lid over and you have a serving tray or a place to hold remotes, phones, glasses, coffee cups, etc. There are 4 short, squatty feet on the bottom of the ottoman, so it is slightly elevated off the floor. This storage ottoman looks good if you don't look too closely--the faux leather is thin and cheap. Nobody will ever mistake this for a high-end piece, but it serves the purpose for the cost conscious.

Don't get me wrong, this is a very good product. It's sturdy, has held up well against my stupid cats who will claw any and everything, but it needs wheels. It's very hard to move around on carpet (that might be a plus for you?)The storage space is bigger than it looks, and I like the reversible lid.But I need wheels.

For a small apartment I needed extra seating and storage. These take care of both. Added benefits are great foot rests for the small sofa and flip over tray top serve as a "coffee table" too.

Looks like real leather. Very useful as leg lift extra seating or coffee table substitute.

I bought 2 of the slate gray distressed "leather" storage cubes, and was pleased with their fit and finish. Their color is a bit darker than the picture shows, but they still look good in our living room. I expect to see them hold up well under use.
