Q: Will this work on the back of a car seat?

This depends on whether the back of a car seat has places for fastening the bag. Our oxygen tank holder bags are for wheelchairs/walkers that have handles for installation. If you would like to use the bag on the back of your car seat, please check and confirm the headrest or bottom of the seat has something like rods or bars for firmly fastening the straps of the bag before making a purchase. Q: Is the 2 oxygen tanks separated or is it one solid piece I am trying to find something to haul a prosthetic leg?

I purchased this bag for our mother several months ago. As far as I remember; it is sewn down the middle to separate the two cylinders. It was strong and very well made. It fits nicely on the back of the wheelchair. I believe placing the prosthetic leg would nicely. (My aunt had one and if I’m recalling correctly it will be perfect.

Q: Can you put forearm crutches in this bag instead of an oxygen tank?

I believe so, the pockets are long enough.

Q: will this hold up for a wide seat wheelchair?

Yes, there are 4 adjustable straps. I use mine on a walker but it’s wide and I have extra strap. I use it all the time and so far it’s held up wonderfully.
