Work as advertised
These electrodes worked as advertised. I used one to repair a broken mounting tab on a cast iron leg from an old wood-burning stove. I vee-ground the mating surfaces, preheated the leg with a rosebud tip on an oxy-acetylene torch, and used DC+ polarity at 75 amps. The rod welded smoothly. After cooling the leg in a sand bucket, the weld and its surrounding metal showed no cracks.
