Q: Is it rigid enough to hold ip a strapless gown, like a corset?

I would use wider Rigilene like 1/2" or 3/4" for greater stability.

Q: Do you need caps on the ends of the boning?

I don't usually use plastic caps, but I always put a small folded piece of fabric on the ends and stitch down along with the boning to help protect the garment fabric in case any of the wires start working themselves out.

Q: Hi Can you make flat curves with this boning ?

You can but it is quite difficult. You will have to get the plastic hot such as boiling it or using someother source of heat. Once it is heated, you will have to bend it and lay something heavy on top of it in order to remold it, wait for it to cool down. You could purchase a round type plastic beading instead, but don't know if that will work for you.

Q: Would I be able to use this in making a soft hoopskirt/cage crinoline?
