RowentaPure Connect Air Purifier, Medium, White

I ordered this air purifier to help improve the air quality in our home. We run it 24 hours a day in “auto” mode, and the air quality definitely seems better. We are quite pleased with this Rowenta air purifier so far.Now, 24 hours a day may seem like a lot, but in auto mode the purifier actively monitors the air quality and adjusts the fan speed accordingly. Consequently, the vast majority of the time the fan runs at a very low speed. Which is great because not only does the fan running at a low speed save electricity, it also keeps the fan noise level to a minimum.We’ve had this Rowenta air purifier for about ten days now, so I decided to take a quick look at the filters. And to be honest, they still look pretty clean. However, to be fair, it’s only been ten days. And I pretty much expected them to be fairly clean because I think the air in our house is generally pretty good. However, with that said, our two dogs shed quite a bit, so the pre-filter did have a bit of dog hair on it. Additionally, there was a bit of visible dust on/in the main filter too. So, it’s definitely pulling dust and whatnot out of the air.Now, we’ve never had any breathing or allergy issues, so I don’t want to say that this air purifier has helped us breathe better/easier. That would definitely be an exaggeration. However, the air quality does seem better. And for two reasons, better/cleaner air is the only thing we want from this air purifier. The first reason is simply that everyone wants to breathe good, clean air. The second reason is that we just want less dust floating around and settling on everything. We can dust things off and there will be a noticeable amount of dust on things a week later. I am confident that this air purifier will greatly help out with that issue.Lastly, one thing everyone should be aware of before buying ANY air purifier is the cost of replacement filters. And with a bit of research, it looks like a set of replacement filters for this air purifier will cost about $105.00. Which, to me, seems a bit pricey. But, to be fair, if you look at this air purifier’s filtration specs, it does do a much better than average job of cleaning and purifying the air.So, to sum up, I think this is a really good air purifier. It’s a well-designed and executed unit that does a terrific job. Consequently, if you’re looking for a new air purifier, I think this one is a good/solid choice. This air purifier definitely works! It has been very successful at filtering out smoke and smells from the bedroom, and there's a noticeable difference in the air quality when leaving the room. The room it's in is approximately a 14x14 square and this purifier has no issue filtering the air in that size of a room. We wanted to make sure we had a powerful air filter in place for fire season, to help prevent any health concerns caused by the smoke, and we are pleased this one fulfills our needs.The mobile app is useable (my partner tried it on Android and I use iPhone) and provides useful insight into the filter life. Recently, they added a section that shows the percentage of use a filter has received, so you know how clean or dirty it is. This makes knowing when exactly to clean or replace parts really convenient! The data on outdoor and indoor air quality is also interesting, and it even breaks down the amount of particles & allergens and gas VOCs.Per the paper instructions, the pre-filter and particle sensor need to be cleaned at around two months; however, the app advises cleaning the pre-filter every 1 or 2 weeks. I'll have to test out the optimal duration. The filters themselves last much longer.Another great feature of the mobile app is it allow you to dim the lights on the unit even more so than night mode automatically does when selected on the device. It would be great if the lights could be turned off without the app, but that is not the case. If you find yourself unable to perform tasks on the app, the instruction manual has useful information on how to troubleshoot the Wi-Fi connectivity, etc.We really like using night mode best out of all the options. It's quiet and only revs up when needed. This makes it very clear how well it performs at energy saving. There's also a turbo mode that I like to use when we clean the bathroom to help clear the air when it gets filled with chemicals.One feature I have never had with previous air filters that I really liked here is the helpful color coding of the lights to indicate air quality.Overall, the unit is great and does exactly what it says it does, and filters the air very well. I hope the brand continues to make improvements to the app. (One flaw is that on the iPhone app, each information button (i) currently opens an empty page that reads "No content.") For someone interested in healthy air quality, energy saving, and data, I would recommend this unit, plus I would consider buying another one for a different room.

Es muy útil para eliminar olores y mantener limpio el aire de las habitaciones, el sensor es muy sensible al grado de que cuando me pongo perfume en mi habitación el sensor lo detecta y se activa el purificador para eliminar las partículas del aire, es una ventaja y da mayor seguridad de que mantendrá limpia de partículas tu habitación, pero puede ser un poco molesto.

Today I am reviewing the "Rowenta Pure Air model PU 3080''. I received it at a discounted price in order for my honest review of the product.This is an excellent quality unit that will last for years to come.It has a very n ice aesthetic to it that would look well in any room with any decor.It has 4 modes; daytime, nighttime, quiet and turbo. The only mode that makes any noise is the turbo mode, but even then it's not distracting when you're watching TV or trying to read for example.The purifier comes with a downloadable app that you use to link your smartphone to the unit. This process was really quick and easy. I was up and going in less than 5 minutes.The app is very user friendly, well laid out and easy to navigate.One of the features in the app is the "Learn" section. This section shows you the equivalent amount of cigarette smoke it's filtered from your air as well as the amount of detergent sprays. It was surprising to see the amount of junk in the air just in my living room alone.There are other tabs as well that you can open and expand to read up on pet dander, pollen, formaldehyde and VOCs (gases)There's then a section for the filters. There's a reminder that tells you to clean your pre-filter every 1 to 2 weeks, and it shows the current levels of your filter usage for the pre, allergen & carbon, and the Nano captur filter so you know when you need to replace them.On the same section there's a picture of each filter and a "Buy Online" button that will take you right to the Rowenta webpage so you can order those. It saves so much time and you'll also know you're getting the right ones!The next cool feature about this air purifier (and app) is that it has a scheduling option. This allows you to make a schedule for the on and off time as well as the mode you would like; day, night, quiet or Turbo mode. You can also program it to have a reoccurring schedule such as every weekday from 8:00 till 2 p.m. or on weekends only. This is a very handy feature and I've already made a program scheduled for mine to be on every day from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. every night.On the main page it displays what the air quality in your home is, shows buttons for each of the 4 modes as well as the power button and one to turn the indicator lights on the unit on or off.You can enter what city you live in and it will show you the current air quality and allergen levels such as pollen.This is an excellent purifier and I highly recommend it.

Tengo modelos previos de purificadores Rowenta que sigo usando en casa y decidí adquirir esté por la funcionalidad del wifi y porque necesitaba otro para una habitación, mi opinión parte de dicha comparación:PROS:- peso ligero, para fácil movimiento- conectividad en app y te avisa en el celular cuando sugiere que debes encender el aparato por la contaminación del ambiente, puedes establecer horarios de encendido.- muy silencioso ( mayor virtud considero)CONTRAS:-materiales más delgados ( plásticos)-lleva sólo un filtro 2 en 1, el de carbón y hepa así que se cambia en cuanto se agote uno, a diferencia de los otros modelos que vienen separados.-le falta desarrollo a la App, hace funciones básicas y te muestra poca información.

I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.I had been wanting to get an air purifier for some time; I live in a new development area which brings a lot of dust from the construction nearby, translating into poor air quality. I also wanted something to help with my husband’s allergies and this one has a True HEPA Allergy+ filter. I love everything about this air purifier! It has a nice look, it is not loud and it has several configuration modes, not just one. When the purifier is working on turbo mode, the noise level is acceptable and on quiet mode you cannot hear it. It would be nice to be able to select the fan speed directly if you wanted to, perhaps via a manual mode; right now you can select speed 1 and 4 via quiet and turbo but you can’t choose 2 and 3 directly (these are used in the auto modes). The unit's LEDs indicate the air quality and you can turn them off if you want; having that visual feedback if you are not using the app and you are close to the purifier is nice. It has a child lock feature which I find comes in handy if you have small children around the house.To configure the purifier you can either use its panel or you can wirelessly manage it from your phone which is amazing; no more having to walk to the unit to change settings or to turn it off if you haven’t scheduled it! The process to connect to the Wi-Fi was really easy and straightforward, you just download, open the app and follow the steps on the screen (you need to create an account and then connect the purifier to your home Wi-Fi).After you have connected the purifier to your Wi-Fi, you can change the settings or turn the purifier on/off from anywhere!! If you are not home you can control the purifier via the app, so that you get home to clean air!! The app is really cool too, you can manage the purifier and get better information about the quality of the air in the room and in the city! It also has a section where you can learn about the sources of pollutants and the equivalence to what the purifier has filtered.One thing I would change from the purifier would be the filter status information; it would be nice if the purifier had a sensor to let you know when you really need to change them because of usage (right now the manual says that you have to change them every X amount of time). The packaging was not the best either; my manual was ripped and the box was a bit damaged (I don't know if this was the seller or manufacturer).

La app es bastante mala, pero el producto es muy bueno.. tip para poder linkear la app a tu iPhone, primero haz reset en el aparato, un reset completo en el manual dice como (creo que es power y mode 3 segundos) después ya haces todo el proceso para linkear a la app y debería funcionar.si lo dejas cerca de una pared o algo, siempre te dirá que la calidad del aire es pésima.
