Excellent heat gun and especially for the price!I use this in epoxy crafts and also for my artwork on canvas and it works great.Really useful that there are so many heat settings so you can choose the right one for whatever you're doing.Also recently used this for stripping gloss from woodwork and it worked a treat.

For the price this is really nice. Its well made and does not heat up the unit itself except the barrel shroud unless you are in a tight corner then it can start to get a little warm from the blowback.The negatives are that the temperature control feels a little sloppy but it stays in place once you set it, and when changing power settings the fan stops for a second during the switch transition which always worries me since the manual makes it clear that the most common point of failure is the heating elements overheating. I would recommend following the manuals advice which is basically don't block the air flow and place it upright when not in use so the heat can dissipate easily. I haven't needed to run it on full heat and at max I go to 7 or 8 and its been great for continuous use.

It is not a tool I use often, however, when you need one it is Dammit. Little fiddly but works well.

I paid a bit extra for next day delivery & it arrived the next day. It works perfectly. There are 2 fan speeds & a variable temperature setting. I bought it for stripping paint from the doors and staircase in my house.

works well, temperature control is good. have been usig it for welding plastic, but should be good for paint stripping as well.
