Traveling boot turned every day boot!
Edit: July 2019: Ventured again to the amazon jungle in Peru and took these with me. They got so covered in mud inside from the rain/clay that I left them there and just bought the exact same pair to replace them. Tread was still phenomenal, comfort was still great. I just did not want to carry them in my carry-on bag on the way home.Edit: September 2018: About 6 months post-purchase and these boots are impeccable. I’ve hiked/walked roughly 300 miles since purchase. Streams, rocks, roots, terrain — absolutely awesome performance. I still love these boots, will be a customer for life. Heck, I wear them out with jeans occasionally just because. Highly recommend still.I purchased these boots right before heading on a two week excursion in the Amazon jungle in Peru. 100% these boots are worth the cost for the following reasons...1. Comfort: These feel like a sneaker in terms of support and comfort. I have flat bunny feet which are narrow and with a mid-weight hiking sock, I did not experience any sliding or blistering.2. All-terrain approved: The boots have a sturdy rubber, textured sole which allowed me to walk through airports, steep rocks, 12 inches of thick clay mud, grasses, on boats, up stairs, across slippery wooden planks, and basically everywhere else during my travels.3. Easy care: These boots are water proof on the outside so any time they were caked in clay mud, I dipped them in water about 3/4 of the way and simply rinsed them off. I did this many times while wearing them.4. Style: if you care about style (which I do not, more utility than anything) these boots pair well with shorts, jeans, hiking pants, yoga pants, etc.Notes...Sizing: I am usually a 9 in hiking boots and sneakers, and 8.5 in casual or dress shoes. I ordered these in an 8.5 and the fit was perfect. 9 would have definitely been too large. 8 would have been too small with the socks that I like to wear.Transforming my shoe wardrobe: now that I’m back in the US, these are my go-to shoes for anything and everything. Absolutely worth the price!Color: As another reviewer mentioned, these are a green more than a gray. I think the color is awesome!

Exceptional Hiking Boot!!!
The Forsake Patch hiking boot performed exceptionally well during a hike on rugged terrain. I purchased the boot 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear. It fit perfectly, was extremely comfortable and it withstood wet and icy conditions. I highly recommend this boot if you like to hike or walk long distances. The boot did not get hot after long excursions and it remained dry throughout hikes in rainy weather. In addition, I received a number of compliments on the boot. It is a very sporty looking boot and looks great with leggings, jeans, shorts or casual pants.. It is easy to travel with and completely protects your feet - no blisters, no soreness, no rubbing - just pure comfort!

Cute boot, but not great for long hikes
I've worn these out on the trail 8-10 times now including in snowy conditions and warmer weather (60s-70s). I normally wear a 6.5 or 7, so I bought the 6.5. I would recommend going down a half size, as the 6.5s were a little too big even with thick socks on, so they rub on my heels and gave me blisters on longer hikes. If you downsize, you shouldn't have a problem with blisters as long as you lace them up tight.Wish there was some arch support, but for shorter hikes, they're decently comfortable and are waterproof tested. They're not super breathable though...my feet still get sweaty with good socks and cold weather. Traction is good as long as you aren't trying to walk on ice or slushy snow. Because they're a little big, I tend to trip more on uneven trails, so the toe is showing some wear and tear already from some rockier hikes.Would recommend to a friend, but I'm not sure I'll repurchase.

Best hikers you can buy
Waterproof, super lightweight, feel like runners. I wore these all day everyday, right out of the box for a fall trip to Ireland. Best hikers I’ve ever owned.

Definitely waterproof, stylish, perfect for adventurous outdoor-types & urban explorers alike
Bottom line (TLDR) & Why i need them:I purchased these to be used primarily for outdoor adventures, typically those involving hiking in wetter locations (forests/streams/rivers' edges).Super happy with my purchase, yes they are definitely waterproof, no i do not think they run large, yes they are perfect for outdoor adventures!. Read on for my detailed review!Performance:I have worn them hiking a few times, crossed shallow streams, hiked very steep cliffs (down & up), walked through and around the river. I have gotten them muddy & wet and they have kept my feet super-dry. I have worn them in waters that covered the laces for extended periods of time, including standing still and actively on the move, and not one drop of water has yet to seep in.The traction they provide on all outdoor terrains i've experienced so far has been stellar, and i felt confident and secure in my hikes thru water, over slippery rocks, muddy ground, deep forest floor, etc.I am pleased with them so far.Fit, Style & Construction:Reviews i read seemed to claim they run large. I usually wear a 6.5, sometimes a 7.Because the majority of wearers said they run large, i ordered a 6.5They fit just right, and i mean just right. A little too narrow for my taste initially....i wore them out running errands one day, and to work one day (am a manager at a winery/restaurant) to start breaking them in. (I don't recommend wearing anywhere you may need non-slip soles because the floor in the restaurant kitchen was not a good match for these boots. No traction on a potentially greasy or slick floor.)I wear hiking socks that correspond with the climate and my anticipated activities for the day (hiking woods / forest / streams / rivers / river or pond fishing...). Even with thinner hiking socks they were a bit snug, so I did stretch them out at the widest part of my foot using a set of shoe stretchers, which did help. They look good, too, with or without the mud. They came with a spare pair of laces. These are well-made, sturdy hiking boots. I would definitely consider purchasing this brand again.

Sehr schade!!! Hätte ihn sehr gerne in schwarz gehabt. Vielleicht kann da ja Abhilfe geschaffen werden.

Sizing is off but great hikers
Beautiful lightweight boots. Ended up retuning as I wanted the black tan colour instead but these are very comfortable with ample room for extra socks and even an insert as there aren't any stiff sections in the design that would restrict your options.Sizing is off as I usually wear 9.5 in women's with a wide foot. With these Forsake, Im wearing the 8.5 women's and my foot measures 25cm. Even then I have about 3cm extra in length (which is perfect for extra socks and inserts). My foot is fairly wide and these boots easily accommodate the width. Hope that helps!
