Annie And Snowball And The Wedding Day: Ready-to-Read Level 2: Volume 13

My son loved the Henry and Mudge series and jumped into reading the Annie and Snowball series without even being asked. He has no problem reading books with girls in it as long as they are girly and that he, himself does not have to be (my son has no desire to wear pink or ruffles LOL!) I personally think its good for boys to read books with girls in them even slightly girly ones because one day boys grow up and become fathers of little girls. Its good for boys to know what girls are like and that sometimes girls enjoy different things than you do and at other times you can enjoy the same things too. Overall, my son loved this entire series and re-reads it along with the Henry and Mudge books.This last book in the series had a wedding - and my son was deeply relieved. My son loves his mommy and apparently he could not understand how Annie did not have a mommy. He felt that absence in the book and worried for her. I did not realize how concerned he was for Annie because he never said anything about it, but when he saw this book he exclaimed with great joy that "Finally she is getting a mommy!" I cannot think of a better way to end these series for my son. He now knows Annie is going to be ok and loved by her new mommy.

My daughter loves this book! I love that Annie gets a mom! I had always wondered what happened to Annie's mom. I don't think the books say, but I am glad that her dad finds someone and I like how this book treats the topic. It's a winner to me!

My daughter was so excited that Annie's Dad gets married. The books never address what happened to her mother but this is a sweet story. We have almost the whole set and this book is read the most out of all of them.

Best book I could find for addressing the topic of dating as a single parent. There’s really not a lot out there.
