After figuring out how to assemble it (instructions aren’t that great) and getting it hung up (also quite the task), I almost took it down and returned it. When you look at it up close, it looks like it’s held together but cheap gold paperclips. It also hung much lower than I wanted and the cheap gold paperclips were in your face more. So I started taking the pieces off the bottom and then got distracted. Came back the next day and realized that taking off the low hanging pieces helped. After considering how much time we spent putting it up, left it for a few more days and it grew on us. Ultimately ended up keeping it because if you’re not inspecting it up close, you don’t see the cheap gold parts that bug me. Also, you can take off as many of the danglies as you want. Does this look like it belongs in Versailles? No. But that’s because it was like $119 so what can you expect? Not sure if I would purchase it again but overall it is a reasonable item if you know what to expect.

This is so perfect. I was afraid the brass elements would be too shiny but it is the exact style I wanted so I bought it. It is beautiful! The brass is toned down and not at all brassy. Love it.
