Woman in Progress: The Reflective Journal for Women and Girls Subjected to Abuse and Trauma
M**S
Daunting, difficult to get started, but worth a go
Being faced with 100s of blank pages with just a question at the top can be overwhelming. The premise of the book is good, but it's just a bit too much without ongoing dialogue to keep your thoughts grounded. This book is daunting, but so is the subject the reader is about to broach. I would have found it more useful for it to delve deeper into the reasons behind the feelings a bit more. Abused people, men or women, are constantly told it's not their fault, they did nothing wrong etc., but just being told that over and over doesn't make sense of it - and this book is more of the same. It's worth giving it a go though.
