Midwest Hearth Gas Logs Deluxe Decorative Branch and Twig Set | Cast from Real Logs and Hand Painted in USA (Oak 5-Piece)

I bought these because of the amazing reviews. They are absolutely gorgeous, BUT! Sadly these stink something awful when used in my propane fireplace. I didn't even have them in the fireplace for 15 minutes and the fumes had our carbon monoxide detector going off! I thought it might have just been an initial use issue so I turned off the fire and waited for the odor to dissipate. Today I lit the fireplace again, and same results. I pulled the logs out and put them on the back patio. No odor in my house. The logs are blackened and charred. There is soot all over them and they no longer look pretty. Huge waste of money.

These driftwood logs look real and the ceramic is nice and heavy. I bought a 5 pack a few months ago, and they were great. I bought an extra 3 to fill in the gaps. Obviously, shipping/handling has played some part in this, but the first package of 5 we’re flawless. This 3 pack however, has defects that I can see why it broke/cracked. You can clearly see the metal lining the ceramic to hold together, which if it’s not on the inside, it weakens the ceramic leading to the cracks and breaks in shipping. One small piece is completely broken - I can’t figure out where it came from, the other, cracked all the way through and is hanging on by small strips of metal.Since these are filler logs, I really can’t be bothered by dealing with returns, so I personally don’t care. Just was expecting the same quality like the first shipment. A little disappointed because these are a bit more pricy than others out there. Guess I was paying for looks rather than quality.

The logs looked great until I turned on my gas fireplace. The three (little) logs are completely black. It’s great for show but don’t actually use them. Very disappointed.

This 10 pc set is a great addition to my ~28" dia. fire pit. for this application I am using a Stanbroil 12" ring burner and Exotic Fire Glass - tumbled Black lava pebbles, and Rutland 587 Bright Rock wool for gas logs.The overall effect is a visually appealing, real-looking fire with a good heat output. The logs were well packaged and received with no damage. I would buy from Midwest again.

Ok so I'm an Amazon addict and I've never reviewed a product before but these logs are so nice that I think the manufacturers deserve a shout out. I waited a few months before writing this to make sure they looked as good after a winter of heavy use, and they do. The logs are solidly constructed, heavy, and beautifully detailed. they are on the smaller side so I bought both the 3 piece and the 5 piece to fill my 24" gas grate. I did a lot of research and a comparable set at my local fireplace store was over $400. Great buy. Very very happy with this purchase.

We ordered these fire logs to replace those that came with our Avalon gas insert. I retained the largest original log ( in the back) and arranged the new logs in front. Additionally, I replaced the small lava rocks with medium sized lava rocks. Once completed, I turned on the insert and it looks beautiful and works wonderful! The ceramic logs take a bit more time to heat up but retains more heat than the original logs. Additionally, the unit puts off what feels like twice the heat.I would definitely purchase these again!!! 👍😁👍

Love the realistic appearance. Made our fireplace look finished. Heavier than I expected, but that's not a bad thing... I didn't really know what to expect. They look really nice when they are burning.

Looks like real wood, I wished there were a few more pieces. For how much they cost bit high priced. Quality is is top notch though so can't complain get what u pay for.
