Purchased the product after refusing to pay the exorbitant amounts for acrylic nails at my local beauty salon. Couldn’t be happier with the product. The more dips the darker the colour. These little pots of powder are going to last a very long time !! Would definitely recommend spending the money on a kit. I bought the 20 colours.

Did someone ask for sexy cocoa?I love me some Saviland. I swear, every product that I get by them is so good, and I just like them more and more with each new product I get. So I’m gonna fan girl over this a little bit, just to warn you.Let me say that I am not a huge fan of brown. Because of that, I don’t actually have a lot of browns in my acrylic collection, which is kind of a problem when it’s fall, or when a client wants something in the brown range. I’ve had good experiences with Saviland products before, so when I saw this set I figured it was time to fix my color gap. Plus, real talk, that dark gold, omg!This swatch was a little bit unusual because I asked a male friend of mine who has literally never worked with acrylics before to swatch the stick for me. I wanted to see what his results would be using this product for the first time. He used clear acrylic to get a feel for the process for about 10 minutes, and then said “OK I’m ready for the color.” OK bro, go for it. I posted a picture of his unfiled results, that would be the one that looks kind of lumpy.As you can see from the unfiled swatch stick, he had no problems whatsoever with the dark gold and the light gold shimmer. The solid cocoa color he had a little bit of trouble with, because it’s so saturated with color that it tends to be a little bit drier. I told him he needed to work with a wetter brush, he of course just kept doing his own thing, and you can see how that worked out... So, my advice to you - use a wetter brush than you are used to with that color. Maybe try a bead or two on paper before you put it on a nail.After he swatched I asked if he wanted to file his lumps, and he said nope and ran away, so I did the finish work. I’ve filed the swatches as smooth as I can get them and covered them with clear, and put on a nice glossy topcoat (taco). I don’t think they look bad at all. There’s a little bit of uneven coloring from where he didn’t completely cover part of the stick, but I’m OK with that. For a beginner I think he did really really well. And it just goes to show that any beginner can use this and do a pretty good job as well (especially if they take the advice of someone who knows what they’re talking about).I really like these colors more than I expected to. Well, the brown. I always love a good shimmery mica, haha. Although brown will never be my favorite color, I dig the creamy milky cocoa-look. It’s a perfect medium brown, and I’m sure it will end up being used more than I guessed. Especially for nail art, it’s a great color. I can use it for tree branches, I can use it for a Rudolph nail, I can use it to make cocoa or ice cream or cake designs, and so on. A solid brown nail with an ombré of either of the two mica colors would be amazing. I’m pretty pleased with this set.Bottom line - two cocoa-sparkle-rific thumbs up. I recommend this set. I would buy this again, for sure.

Definitely cheaper than getting nails done and fun to use. Be sure to follow directions. It’s not as easy as it looks!
