Ultra Bright Fresnel Lens Screen for Linhof Toyo Wista Tachihara Sinar 4x5 Camera

It works great! I stuck it BEHIND the focusing screen as I found that it changes the focal plane when in front of it. It is much brighter, even with my 65mm lens can I know see most of the image and not just the center. A slight problem is that there are ghost images appearing towards the edges, but I found that to not be too problematic. In the picture you can see that I placed the fresnel on top of the focusing screen and it is held in place only by the original clips for the focusing screen glass. I hope there won't be dust sneaking between fresnel and glass. I did not tape off the corners,.as that again adds thickness to the glass and might change the focal plane of the screen, AND: glue from tape sticks to the fresnel, especially on the rough side.

I've used fresnels over the years in all of my cameras and it's always a hassle trying to find one for a good price that's readily available. I have a Zone VI field camera and I had to sand down the sides to get the screen to fit. I used extra fine sandpaper and you can't tell it was sanded. Now it fits perfectly behind the GG and makes everything super bright. I'm pretty happy with this screen and wouldn't hesitate to purchase other camera gear from etone.

Does it job well, but I did need to trim it a bit to fit my Toyo. Easy enough to do with a straight edge and a hobby knife

I measured my ground glass with calipers to ensure it would fit before purchasing. The measurements in their info is accurate and it fit perfectly on my Calumet cc-401. With my f/4.5 lens I can focus in bright sunlight without a focusing cloth! Its really impressive how much brighter it seems.

It says ultra-bright, well, it is, too bright. it is not opaque at all, the image you are trying to focus on is supposed to project on this screen. There is nothing for the image to project on. It is totally clear and you are basically looking through it at the lens. It is impossible to focus.

This is an excellent fresnel screen. I installed it on my Intrepid 4X5 MK4 and the diference is day and night.

I bought this from eTone China and was delivered in less than 14 days to the Philippines. The fresnel is fairly thick (unlike the flimsy ones sold for reading). This one is made for 4x5 cameras. With this fresnel attached on top of the ground glass (outside the camera), focusing has been easier. It made the screen 2-3 times brighter!

Have not installed on the camera yet. Handheld it does make things much brighter.

現在、リンホフマスターテヒニカにTOYO純正のフレネルを使用中です。新品の入手が難しそうなので、これの予備として購入しました。装着してのテストはしていませんが、フレネルのカットはTOYOより細かいです。同製品の海外でのフィードバックでは、リンホフユーザーが非常に明るく使い易いが、リンホフのフレネルポケットに入れる時に、この製品のエッジを少しサンドペーパーで落とさないと装着がきついとのコメントが有りました。
