I purchased this rack to keep my canning jars from touching the bottom of my canning pot. You can see from the photos that there is very little of the rack holding the ½ pint jar (regular mouth) placed in the middle. If the jar isn't perfectly centered it falls over. When canning with hot boiling water, I can't be worried about doing a balancing act with the jars. If you use wide mouth ½ pint jars there isn't a problem because that jar is much wider. I only use the regular size mouth in ½ pint jars because they take up less room in my pantry. Virtual Elements needs to add 1 more ring of steel closer to the center to really call this a canning rack. Will be returning.

I used the rack to support canning jars in my stock pot while making jam. The racks fit my pot and held the jars off the bottom securely. One recommendation: DO dry them well. I was careless about leaving a rack in the stockpot overnight and it got a few spots of rust.(The rust did clean off easily, however.)

Great fit for my Power pressure cooker

Happy I bought this, it’s exactly what I needed. It’s sturdy enough for heavy pots and pans.

Purchased these to use in an 8 qt Power Pressure Cooker Plus as a canning rack. They are stainless steel so there should not be the problem with rust as experienced with other canning racks. These are 8" in diameter. The power cooker (at the bottom of the inner pot) is appx 8.5" in diameter, so the racks fit perfectly.

This fit perfectly in the bottom of my Power Pressure Cooker XL for canning!
