Cluck and Moo (High Contrast Books)

Our baby, now toddler, loves this book! This is our 2nd copy, he destroyed the first one (not a faulty book, babies destroy things).

I work with a 4 year old student who has brain trauma, leading to an intellectual disability and visual impairment. He visually engages with this book for extended periods of time - significantly longer than with other books and activities.

My son really started to love this book when he was around 10 weeks old, and he still loves to look at it at four months! This is his favorite high contrast book, and, as simple as it is he could look at it for hours! You will get bored of this book long before your baby does - but that is well worth it when you see your baby's face light up, fascinated by the animals!

This book is very simple, I probably would have skipped it if I could have previewed it.I love animals and thought this may be a good way to introduce them to my son, but it's not the most...interesting book? Obviously an infant doesn't need a huge storyline but I expected more than a basic listing of animal sounds. Also...rabbits nibble? Seriously? At least have it be consistent so baby learns a sound he can recognize.

I bought several high contrast books for my baby daughter, but this one is my favorite. The illustrations are just adorable. She started enjoying this at 9 or 10 weeks old and has been able to focus the illustrations. I make the animal sounds for her and point out the different features on the animals. It's a super cute book and I'd buy it for friends expecting babies in the future!

Our 3 month old continues to love this book so much. She'll stare at the pages for multiple minutes at a time. It is neat to see her eyes darting across the page taking in all the shapes. The story is non-existent ("cows moo"), so it might not be interesting for older babies, but a real like saver for entertaining a newborn.

Baby likes it and I like doing the animal sounds rather than it just being s pattern.

Like this contrast book I like that there are words as well.
