Trusted review says flames flare in terrifying manner
Although the trigger feels kind of flimsy, I thought these would work okay for our small kitchen and in the car. However, I recently read a review in Cook's Illustrated which said that this particular "extinguisher" or suppressant actually caused the flames to "flare up in a terrifying way." The fires eventually were put out (although one reignited later), and the foam was easy to clean up, but if my kitchen burns, cleaning up the fire supression foam will be the least of my worries. Don't know if you know CI or America's Test Kitchen, but they don't make money from endorsing products, and having watched many of their reviews online, I trust their methods. So they say, "DO NOT BUY." I am currently looking at Kidde and Amerex brands.
