SIZING and FIT ARE RIGHT ON!
I have worn various styles of SAS shoes off and on over the years and have liked all of them for fit, comfort and overall quality. They were always pricey but well worth it. As a senior, my feet have changed over the past few years and not for the better. 3 years ago I had to stop wearing full shoes of any brand and go to sandals. They worked for a while but since they offer no real support at all, eventually my feet broke down and really started hurting by the end of each day. Fed up, I checked online recently and found SAS to have a wide variety of shoe styles which I have never found in any Brick and Mortar store. I found these mesh slip-on walking sneakers with the hook & loop easy fasteners and just felt they would be the ones. Besides, they just looked cool!. My size is 13-D, I have never had a wide shoe on as the store sales people always told me it would be way too large. I took a chance and ordered a13-W. BINGO! The extra width was exactly what I needed! The shoes fit beautifully, and with the addition of a good pair of drugstore orthotic insoles I found them to be more comfortable than my slippers. I wore them the whole day the very first day. Not being used to the new shoes yet, I initially felt some different pressure points at various times and wasn't sure these shoes were going to work out but was totally surprised by the end of the very first day. For the first time in at least two years I had no pain or any discomfort of any kind and they were so comfortable at the end of the day I forgot I even had them on. Fantastic! I have worn them for the past several days and hate to take them off as they are more comfortable than my "good" slippers! HOMERUN!!

Nice Shoe, Worth the Money!
I was looking for a Velcro (hook & loop) closure walking shoe. Easy on, easy off.Mr search revealed numerous brands and prices.I picked the SAS shoe because of the high reviews, looks, and American made.I was concerned about the price (rather expensive), but figured I'd give them a try.As a backup to this shoe, I also ordered a "similar" shoe at half the price of the SAS made by New Balance for comparison. I'd been a runner years ago and worn New Balance running shoes and thought of them at the time as a well made shoe. (Times have changed and so have shoe qualities!!)The SAS shoe fit well from the first time I wore it...no break in necessary. The shoe was well made...stitching good, all the parts well fitted, and overall well designed. Often times, you get what you are willing to pay for. Now, the question: Was it worth twice the price of the New Balance??In my opinion, Yes.What price can one put on comfort and foot support and overall quality (longevity) in a shoe that you will wear for hundreds of miles? Think of it as pennies per mile for a better shoe!!The New Balance shoe was not comfortable (stitching and material on the inside pressed on my foot), the shoe tongue did not center itself and bunched up, the Velcro straps were too long, and the overall construction seemed to lack quality and attention to detail compared to the SAS shoe. The New Balance shoe also looked like an old man's orthopedic shoe....I may be old, but I don't need to dress to point that out.The New Balance was sent back for a refund...the SAS was kept and worn comfortably.I don't mean to pick on New Balance...it's just the shoe I used to compare with the SAS. I'm sure I could pick numerous others that would be a similar comparison.I don't know how well the SAS will hold up over time, but based on my initial impression and the posted reviews, I'm expecting to be able to wear these for a long time!!

Easy on
I need a shoe that fit well and was easy to get on. I have a bad back and sometimes tying shoes is tough. These fit well, but not a lot of support. No problem, I have always used a Orthotic Insole anyway. So I look for shoes that the original insole can be removed and replaced. Got some good ones here.

Most Comfortable & Great Looking
First of all, I would like to thank SAS for making a comfortable shoe here in America. I have a bunion & a hammer toe on my left foot and have balance issues. These velcro shoes are not only comfortable, they also help my balance issues. In the past I have bought New Balance velcro shoes, but they are no longer the same quality. I have ordered numerous New Balance shoes from Amazon & had to send most of them back because they are cheaply made & just not comfortable. When I sit down to eat, I always have to take my left shoe off because of discomfort. This SAS shoe is the only shoe I can wear even when sitting down. Expensive, but If you have been searching for comfortable shoes, you will get what you pay for. MY wife even says they are a good looking shoe.
