An auditory landscape of modern jazz, progressive metal, hip-hop, electronica, and other styles. Ever Forthright is a progressive metal band from one of the most musically diverse places in the world, New York City. Artfully fusing modern jazz, progressive metal, hip-hop, electronica, and other styles of music into an auditory landscape is one of the reasons why Ever Forthright are quickly becoming known as true architects of modern music. Most of the members have attended and/or graduated from some of the top jazz performance schools in the world. A wide range of musicians/groups fuel this bands sound, such as Meshuggah, Kneebody, Cynic, Deftones, Wayne Krantz, Suicide Silence, Jill Scott, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and many others. No filler, no rehashed riffs, just pure, original music.

Excellent Ecclectic Djent/Jazz Brutality and Beauty
Wow.....so glad Amazon has "tags" and folks comment/review and share about other bands in those reviews. I came across this band looking at a djent band's album and this was in the recommended section below. This time it paid off flipping through the 20 "pages" to discover other bands similar. This is for fans of Periphery as well as other bands such as Circles or even Meshugga. It is not as good as the first full length Periphery CD, but is worthy to be named it's brother. I have yet to hear the new Periphery 2, but I have doubts that it will match up to this amazing release.I am sure that Periphery wishes they could have possibly kept Chris Baretto around as their vocalist after hearing this...........YES he is the vocalist in this band as well as sax player. There are awesome jazz interludes contained.........much like the atmospheric electronic interludes on the first Periphery CD. Back to the vocals - the clean singing is superb with no signs of straining to hit those incredibly high notes and harmonies. The screaming vocals are very good, but not very different that you hear within many other metalcore/djent bands.....they are brutal though. This is an excellent hard/brutal djent album interlaced with tons of creativity and beauty. So surprised they are not on one of the bigger labels.....but they will be!!!! Buy this now!!!!

Most amazing thing I have ever heard.
I've never seen a band or album get as many positive reviews as Ever Forthright and there is plenty reason for that. I have had the same favorite band for years and then this band comes along and takes the number one spot.Anyway to start let me say Metal and Jazz have been mixed before but in no way like this. Perfect excecution on everything. I believe most of the members graduated or at least attended a school of jazz. The vocalist plays a mean sax. Some of the most beautiful jazz interludes break up a heavy, technical assault of low tuned guitars and magnificent drum work. If that's not enough Infinitely Inward ends on a soul filled r and b part. Everything you ever wanted in one not so neat package.THIS REVIEW DOES THE BAND NO JUSTICE. PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT.
