Guys: you can wear these roper-style boots just about anywhere—without worrying about how you look or whether your feet will be comfortable. Crafted by hand, these boots offer the perfect balance of style and dependable comfort. The roper-style design makes them appropriate for more "formal" occasions, as well as casual daily use. Dress them up or down with jeans and pants of almost any style or color. The shafts are approximately 11 inches tall and display an elegant stitched design on the sides. These boots have a clean, sophisticated look, but they don't sacrifice their rugged cowboy roots. They're crafted with Goodyear welt construction—one of the finest shoe construction methods—for superior durability. Cushioned insoles provide all-day comfort, whether you're on the job or at a weekend-long business conference. Leather lining inside the boots make them even more comfortable on your feet. A side zipper and pull tab provide on and off. Choose from two colors: Brown or Black.

Might not only apply to me.
An ankle injury resulted in a fusion with almost no ankle flexion and being unable to wear a western pull on boot. That is until I discovered these, placed an order being prepared for failure...I was so wrong. Was able to put the boots on easily, good fit and good quality all leather construction. Now I frequently wear them around the ranch...townhouse condo in New England...and am very pleased with my purchase. Breaking them in has been painless, however I am a believer in the liberal use of leather conditioner and judicious use of a hair drier. Love the soft glow of well conditioned oiled leather, and comfort of medium weight padded boot socks. Now as I sit by the fire reading a good western novel, I glance down at my Levis and boots and let out a few quiet Yee Haws, trying not to alarm my wife, and am back in the 1870's.

Initial reactions - Ropers
I just got them, the initial reaction is that the manufacturing quality looks good and they’re comfortable in the fit. I wear a 7.5 usually and they fit perfectly. I have attached a picture of them with Tecovas and Lucchese‘s for comparison. Black ones are Soto, brown are Tecovas EE, and the tans are Lucchesse’s.So far the only thing about Soto boots that I don’t like is the more rounded toe than the Tecovas and Luchesses.I am going to wear them and provide an update after some time to see how they hold up.

Well made inexpensive boots with zipper closure
I have a very high arches and some foot problems that make it difficult to get into traditional cowboy boots, so the zipper on this pair is a very welcome feature. These are very slick sold boots that are good for getting out of stirrups, I would hesitate to use them as dress shoes if that is your idea. Heal has decent traction, sole is leather I and slick.

A little tight at first
Doesn't take long for these to wear in, took them on a few walks through a nearby park. Nice boots, I wish there was just a little better grip on the heel but these aren't exactly hiking-wear.Very comfortable on my feet after breaking in the arch, and I've already gotten a few compliments on them. The overall feeling of walking in them is the reason I give this 5 stars, though. These fit my stride and movement like an extension of my body.

Boots do not fit as expected, ordered half size lower and still loose at the ankle.
Sent back second pair leather ripped on inside boot.
