Better Than Bouillon Organic Roasted Beef Base, 16 oz Reduced Sodium

As far as bouillon—the absolute best. Love this stuff. No MSG, no weird artificial stuff, and great taste. Only buy this brand. HOWEVER. Ordered it here because I ran out, but had just had a new baby and wasn’t up for a shopping trip anytime in the near future. Couldn’t remember how much I usually paid at Costco, but thought it was a little less than the $15 it is here on amazon. Month later, my amazon jar ran out, and I stopped by Costco to pick up more. Same jar, same weight, same everything—but $5!! Couldn’t believe I paid 3x more here on amazon. Never again!! Do yourself a favor—buy this bouillon....just not here on amazon.

I am highly allergic to MSG so these Better than Bouillon Base are fantastic since they have none. 1 teaspoon to 1 cup of water and you have your bouillon. There are several difference kinds that you can purchase and since Costco is only stocking the Chicken base this is a great place to purchase the rest of the line. I also like that they are low sodium so that I can control how much salt goes into my food.

I bought "Better Than Bouillon Organic Roasted Beef Base" from BananaJuice through Amazon. The expiration date looks like it has been rubbed out. I noticed this after making a batch of soup (that I make twice a month) and it lacked its usual robust flavor. Its one thing to miss an expiration date but to rub it out? Caveat Emptor!

I love this boullion...first because it's organic. Secondly, the convenience...one jar in the refrigerator sure beats 4 or 6 cans in the kitchen cabinets which I have to climb through to find the last can.But most importantly I love the flavor and having the ability to control the strength of flavor I want in a particular dish, soup or stew.

Makes the most delicious broth and gravies that I have found. I keep it in the frig. I am so glad that it is reduced sodium. I used to buy the regular ones, but always found that it contained too much salt.

I have bought these in different flavors since they came out. I usually get the small size, but I needed this bog jar. The flavor of this and chicken are very good. I’ve used them to make gravy and in casseroles. Very easy to use! I just stir them in!!

Disappointed in Better Than Bouillon Organic Roasted Beef Base. Always get their Roasted Chicken and it is very good. Should have checked ingredients but now see that the beef has both concentrated celery juice--which is essentially the same as nitrate/nitrites--and caramel coloring which, even if organic, is a carcinogen because of how it is altered by the high heat of production. Would think this company would do better in the "healthy department."

I can rarely find the reduced sodium version of this in the store so I am glad for Amazon. This adds great beefy flavor without over salting the dish. I use it in stews and gravy to boost flavor without overpowering the taste I want.

This is a great product. Lasts longer than the cartons of broth. I was discouraged after buying it here to find it at Costco for $8.

What a rip off!
