Leviton Decora Digital Dimmer Switch for 0-10V LED, Mark 7 Florescent Ballasts, DD710-BDZ, White

I bought this switch to use in my recently-constructed bird room because I had installed LED lights that not only allowed selection of color temperature and ultimate brightness, but also were able to be dimmed. I had to string the 0-10 V control lines (purchased on Amazon) from the existing wall switch box to the lights and that was a royal PITA due to the construction of my house where multiple headers had been used.Once the control lines were in place, I needed to hook up the switch. If I had thought that the previous work was a PITA, the connections in the new plastic switch box were twice as difficult because of all the 12-gauge (!!) wire that had to be stuffed in it along with the DD710, which penetrates pretty deeply into the box. To make things work, I had to cut out the cable-holding tabs from the back of the box so I could shove all the big gauge wires and associated wire nuts towards the back. Several days of struggling with poor connections ensued but were resolved satisfactorily.With everything now in working order, I was able to create ON and OFF programming (which is why I bought this switch) using the Leviton Bluetooth app on my phone so that the lights come on gradually over 30 minutes starting at 7 in the morning and go off similarly starting at 9 at night. Because it's mid-June right now and I'm towards the western edge of the U.S. Eastern Time Zone, the gradual ON/OFF isn't too effective, particularly in the morning. But, as the days now get shorter, it will become quite effective -- mostly in not startling the birds in the morning with instantaneous full intensity ON and letting them know that "lights out" is coming so they can settle in for the night. None have complained so far.

I wanted a remote controlable dimmer for the rear 0-10 volt dimes me lighting in the rear of theater room. Other solutions I found were expensive and convoluted. This was the only reasonable solution I could find for 0-10 volt lighting. No issues at all with the blue tooth. I use it with my iPhone and it works flawlessly. Thanks Leviton!

Bought it through Amazon Warehouse Deals for the 0-10v LED ballast dimming feature and smart phone control. Didn’t get it installed until after the return window had closed. It would not switch the lights on and could not be found by my iPhone with the Leviton app. The little green LED indicators on the switch face just flicker. Leviton disappoints as well as Amazon Warehouse Deals...

Used for a 0 to 10 vdc PWM LED power supply for kitchen under counter lights, switch and dimmer in one with remote hardwired dimmer and switch and bluetooth control as well!

I replaced some of my old neon light panels with LED flatpanels which use the 0-10V control voltage for dimming.To use this type of control you need to add the two low voltage wires, which connect from the lamps to the dimmer.If you want to replace the old switch with the new dimmer it requires to add the two wires to the old existing wiring in the ceiling and/or walls back to the original location of the power switch.To avoid all this trouble I installed the dimmer in a different location, easy accessable and easy to feed the control wires to it.The original light switch now turns on the dimmer and using the bluetooth app installed on my cellphone lets me control the lights.Note: unlike other devices, this dimmer does not need a permanent internet connection after you have it set up to work with the app on your cell phone.

I wanted to dim the high lumen lights I purchased at Home Depot. Then I found out that the dimmer itself is special order and expensive. Then I found out that you need a special 'LED dimmer wire' that is also very rare and expensive- regulations changed in Jan 2022 requiring a pink and violet dimmer cable. Now I'm finding that it's 18/2 and there are regulations about putting that wire in the same box as the 14/2 power. All of this on message boards after hours of searching. I will update this review after the inspector comes and clarifies things but holy man this is getting time consuming and expensive!
