Forgiveness is not only possible, it’s essential
We are told, “To err is human; to forgive, divine.” Maybe that’s why we struggle with forgiveness, for we are far from divine. Preston VanLoon has given us a treasure in this easy to read book. Not only does he acknowledge the emotional pain that makes forgiveness so challenging, he also emphasizes that forgiveness is what allows us to move past that pain and go forward on the path to healing. I have recommended this book in my marriage counseling ministry. I recommend it to anyone who needs to be liberated from the burdens of anger and bitterness to enjoy the peace and freedom of forgiveness and reconciliation.

Thoughtful and Practical
"The Path to Forgiveness," by Dr. Preston VanLoon, is a thoughtful and practical book that guides readers gently along the road to forgiveness and a healthy outlook on life and relationships. While the book is relatively short (93 pages), it is long on meaningful, biblical, common-sense advice. Dr. VanLoon recognizes four stages in the forgiveness process and carefully addresses each one in succinct chapters, citing relevant anecdotes and examples.I believe that each person who reads Dr. VanLoon's book will be drawn to different aspects of forgiveness, depending upon his/her circumstances. For me during this particular reading, highlights included the chapter "What is Forgiveness?" in which Dr. VanLoon asserts "forgiveness is a courageous decision that comes out of your own interest and impetus." I found phase 4 to be insightful, too. Dr. VanLoon writes in the introduction to Phase 4, "Forgiveness restores meaning, purpose and hope to your life.""The Path to Forgiveness" is a wonderful book for all who seek whole and healthy relationships. Readers will not be disappointed.

Forgiving is divine
The Path to Forgiveness is a book meant for everyone. The contents and language used appeal to readers and the stories shared on forgiveness are almost heartbreaking, but real and divine. A book not to be missed as each of us comes through situations in life which, in one way or another, either trivial or major would need to face and decide the best solution to the end. May everyone who forgives reap happiness and protection as special as the act of forgiving. Dr Preston did a great job. Cheers!Sincerely,Kim H ChuaKuantan,Malaysia

Valuable Resource
I could not be happier to use this book in our church. It is an easy read with a ton of great insights. Dr. VanLoon uses his vast knowledge both human nature and the Scriptures to help people do one of the hardest things in the world... forgive.
