Penn-Elcom L0566K Surface Mount Draw Latch

I bought these for replacements on a toolbox and tool chest that were damaged. They seem to be very good quality and should last for the remaining life of the two boxes. Very positive latch system, they won't unlatch without a little effort. The only thing I have found is that you can place the top and bottom pieces too close to each other, which will result in a less effective latch. There didn't appear to be any recommendations on the spacing between the two. While this distance is very minimal, it appears to be somewhat important for correct operation of the latch. Highly recommended.

Built a hand bell box for church. Cost of a box on-line was about $500. I was able to make a nice solid oak box to meet and exceed the church's need.

These are very good latches. The only thing that would make them better is if they had a spring-like hook that would compress the latch when it was closed.

The product is good quality..but no screws are supplied…black screws are not common.

Latch looks nice, but for $9.08, it should have come with screws. Now I have to drive down the store that I opted not to go to before :/

Used to add latches to our bean bag/corn hole game. Does not come with hardware (screws) but I picked up screws and nuts at Home Depot for under $2 after they arrived. They serve their purpose and stay out of the way when the game is open. Good find.

Good quality stuff. But really, no screws? Would be so much happier if there were some black screws with them. As far as the latches go, they're good quality stuff, I like these better than the home-store stuff. Well, I'm off to find some screws and a can of black paint.
