The picture says it all. It worked after I adjusted how I placed the device over the lid.Very smooth motion to open the jar.It feels like it will last for 5,or more years.I like it's portability so it can be easily stored.

WORKS GREAT EXCEPT ON METAL LIDS
Works great and with ease but due to the metal blades it tears the metal lids leaving them sharp and not safe

I have similar openers but I just don't have the grip strength to make them work. Even after I use the pop top openers for jars sometimes this type doesn't work for me. I used a pop top opener (the one that makes the small circular indentation pop up) to open a jar this morning, grabbed this new opener and the lid just opened with no hassle at all. This new opener probably would have worked on its own. I have also used the end of it to open a soda can. All in all a very useful tool.
