I belong to a Community Organic Garden, and composting is one of the most arduous tasks in maintaining the garden. Weeds and other organic materials are piled up, after several months they are turned into a second pile, and several months later they are turned into a third pile prior to sifting and return to the individual garden plots. The piles are covered to hinder germination and growth of weed seeds that reside in the composting material, to prevent evaporation of water--which would slow the composting process, and to aid in raising the temperature to hasten the composting process. Black tarps are instrumental in all these factors by keeping the compost material in the dark, keeping the composting material moist, and taking advantage of solar heat to warm the compost.

If the product was 8x8 as described it would get a 5-star review. However, when measured, it is actually 7'4" x 7'4". The extra 8 inches on both sides would have made all the difference for my application.

I ordered a 20x20 ft tarp and then when it arrived it didn’t fit what we wanted it for and when we measured the tarp it was actually 18.6x18.6 ft and it was glued down wrong on one side and was damaged.

Waterproof

But 8x8 would be a square. I got a rectangle. Still a really good tarp. Still using it but I needed 8x8.

This is a heavy duty tarp, but grommets aren't- a few came loose as I was attaching it to bunny cords. Also, it's not really 13 feet long - more like 12. I was disappointed because I needed 13 feet.

it's was hard to find a 6x6 so it was great this company makes one ...

Was a terrible tarp just opened up to put out for are boat covet up at cottage. Was a ton of little holes. Garbage a very bad tarp.
