My other half was really pleased with this carbon fibre rod, which separates into two sections for transport. The rod is well made, nicely balanced, and medium-light weight, and the included reel has a smooth action.The one negative thing he did say he was that he was a bit shocked at was the way this was manufacturer packaged: it just came in a loose plastic bag, with a tag attached to the body of the rod, and a second, small-sized plastic bag wrapped around the reel. This didn’t do much at all in terms of protecting the combo.

Broke before first use

Sturdy and reliable fishing rod.Casts well, even my 7 year old was able to do so.Best of all he caught a big keeper using it.Great balance between the combo.The reel works smoothly as it comes back in and it has excellent drag.Great price, you can spend hundreds upon hundreds for a top of the line rod but this one at £65.59 is the real deal, while it could be viewed as a simple rod it’s so very effective.

This rod and reel appears to be very well made. Both feel strong and flexible, easily put together and very fit for purpose. Looking forward to the better weather to get out and test it. The reel slots lovely into the rod fitting and secures nicely by twisting the screw in front as expected. Locks tightly and feels secure. The rig look elegant and sleek and feels good to the touch. Very happy with this kit.

Ordered 3 of these rods and 2 of them have snapped off at the tip of the rod in the exact same place. Definitely not worth the money. Do not buy!
