A big change for Seb: a breastfed toddler’s weaning story

Great book for weaning
My toddler and I really love this book. I weaned him from the breast very gradually, finishing completely at 2 years 7 months. This book really helped him understand the feelings and other forms of comfort that come with weaning. He often refers to the book when I have to remind him that mummys milk is all gone and requests to read it at least once a day. He now has his own rocket bottle just like Seb.

The book is a game changer for toddler weaning.
I enjoyed reading this book with my daughter. She asks to read it again and again even though she stopped breastfeeding at age 3.5 because I was pregnant. She still wants to go back to breast feeding! Its so nice to have a book that helps my child, something I can pull out when I am struggling. I think this book is going to help many breastfeeding mums as we see many more mums breastfeed their children as toddlers and forget what society sometimes makes us feel that it is odd to feed a toddler. I would highly recommend buying this book as a gift for a friend or for yourself or loved one if they are thinking of weaning a toddler.

So helpful for helping wean my toddler!
I was struggling to get my toddler to understand the concept of stopping breastfeeding so I was really happy to find this book which helps to show the main character Seb go through the process. It gave me some ideas to try out but what I really liked that this was also incorporated into the narrative so it isn’t just a book about weaning. I haven’t seen many books out there about breastfeeding generally and I think it’s great for my daughter to see her own experiences represented in this book.

Perfect book for weaning a toddler
Weaning a toddler, is a subject very close to me. No one I knew breastfed for so long, until just after she turned 2. I was constantly hearing about how she's too old for milk, and it's not normal blah blah 🙄 I got a toddler weaning book (which shall not be named 🤫) it was bloody awful, my daughter never ever wanted to read it! A big change for Seb is THE book I wish I had back then, it's such a cute toddler focussed story that incorporates many elements, such as the way Seb feels and that it's ok to be upset, but there will still always be love, with or without milk. The illustrations are super cute 🥰 my daughter wouldn't stop saying "again about Seb, again about the red and yellow big slide" 😂 It's just a toddler story that happens to have bits about no more milk, very gentle and relatable to both mummy and toddler.

A brilliant toddler friendly story about weaning!
This book definitely fills a gap in the market for toddlers who are weaning. Seb learns how to transition from weaning in a supportive and encouraging way by his parents. The illustrations are very appealing and the text is interesting and pitched at the right level for very young children.A lovely book and a great gift.

Introduces the idea of weaning a breastfeeding toddler
My 2 year old loves this book, and it introduces the idea of doing breastfeeding and the ideas around it from a toddler's point of view. I'd say this is relatable for ages 1.5-4. We were looking for ways to talk about the idea to my daughter and couldn't find much out there so it was really useful.
