Q: Is this bag split half and half between 46 and 70 grit?

Good question. I understand that the smaller the number, the coarser the grit. I'm not sure about the double numbers, but I found one site which sells 46/70, 60/90, etc., and also "non-blends" 1000, 1200, 1500. So apparently the double numbered grits are blends either of two different size grains, or perhaps a range in size. If that is the case, then 46/70 would simply mean that the particles are no larger than 46, and no smaller than 70.

Q: Can this product be used on glass?

I used this on wine bottle glass. It was suggested to use the coarse grit to speed up the process. It definitely changed the shiny bottle glass to look like sea glass. It takes about 4 to 5 days in my tumbler to get the smooth cloudy sea glass look.

Bought this to supplement another grit sequence kit I purchased. The coarsest grit in the kit wasn’t very aggressive. This stuff definitely is.
