While this pruner looks and feels well made, the blade bottomed out in a groove on the lower half. In my book that's an anvil pruner, not a bypass. I'll give it a chance anyway, but not expecting to want another.

Nice and sharp. Cuts thru inch thick branches like a hot knife thru soft butter without having to struggle too much. I love it.
