As the days get shorter, I have to run in the dark or just don't run. Sometimes the latter seems more attractive but the mirror does not agree when it shows my 50-something year old body. About a week ago, I was running at dusk while wearing a white shirt and strobing yellow LED belt on my waist when a driver just about ran be down turning into a drive in front of me. She screamed that I "needed more light." This is when I noticed that one of her headlights was burned out. The truth is, I'm not the one who needed more light. But I realized I wouldn't be able to defend my argument if I was dead. So I decided to do what I could to make myself more visible to the idiots.This vest is a few bucks more than some of the others I found on Amazon. However, from the photos, it seemed brighter than the others. I also liked the fact that the product came with a pair of ankle/arm bands and internal phone pocket. Even better was the return policy and lifetime warranty.This vest is, in fact, quite visible in the dark. The reflective tape lights you up like a Christmas tree. The fit is good. I normally buy medium jackets and shirts, and that translated well to the vest. Not too tight, nor to loose.Hopefully, I am now "idiot proofed."

Shipping was quick. The vendor reached out 2 times to make sure I am happy. For the most part I am. The vest is very visible. I love that I have easy access to jacket pockets. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead all 5, is that the very strong Velcro along the waist/hip that is exposed when adjusted to be larger or create a looser fit, has been sticking to my shirts/sweaters, pulling on threads and ruining it when I pull it free. I live in New England, so wool and other natural fabrics are a staple right now. If you adjust the fit to be snugger, it shouldn't be a problem, as the velcro will be covered. I will just have to watch what I wear. I would not wear this in summer. I would opt for a mesh/breathable fabric instead. This vest is very light, but not breathable. I would notice it if the weather were warmer. The velcro thing is annoying, but not enough to return it. I will keep using it.

I like the weight of this vest. I am 5'6" 145 lbs. The length fits good and it adjusts to a wide range of width. The only downfall that I see is that it falls off ( slips down)of my shoulders when running. I started putting one of the first bands around the back section to tighten it up some and they seemed to work

This vest is really soft, and not too bright, just reflective. Which I think is great. I got the pink one because I want to use it to walk my dog. I ordered this specifically because of the color, and the design. I want to be safe and be seen at night, without blinding other people with the usual greenish yellowish neon color. It seems well made, but I'm more impressed with the customer service. They emailed me to ask and only ask how is the product working out for me, (unlike some other sellers that nags about asking for a positive review) and if I'm liking it. I had let them know that I wasn't too happy that the vest went on a lightning deal for $12.75 the day after I had ordered and paid for it for $19.95. Admittedly that particular problem has nothing to do with them, just my dumb luck, but they were willing to adjust the price for me. I thought that was above and beyond. So yes, I will definitely buy from them again.

I bought the vest because I had a bike ride that was non-stop and over 300 miles of mostly two-lane roads. It was fantastic!There were four of us, wearing three different makes of safety vests. The 247 was unquestionably the most reflective. As mentioned ,this was non-stop so comfort was important. With the Velcro adjustments, it was possible to comfortably wear the vest even though changing weather conditions made it necessary to wear several layers of clothes for warmth during the day and night travel. There were high winds and we rode at speeds ranging from 13 to 23 mph on the flats and as fast as 37mph on downhills. There was never any flapping or other annoying issues with the vest.Once I realized how reflective the vest was, I was much more comfortable with traffic visibility, night and day!I had never worn any hi-visibility vest before, but will have no problem donning this one for future rides where visibility is a concern.

I needed a reflective jacket for when I go jogging in the afternoon (there's been a few close calls of people running the light). This definitely fulfills being a reflective safety jacket. I bought a size medium to put over my jacket (I'm 5'7" 130lbs and normally wear a size sm/med). It's definitely big enough to have a sweater underneath. The arm bands are a little too big for my wrist and too snug for my upper arm area so I'm not sure how I'll use it.One thing I hate is this awkward folding around the arm and neck area. I tried to fold it down but it's like there's so much extra fabric that it's not fixable. It's weird but I'm in it for the safety so I give it 4 stars.

I walk my dog at 5 am everyday. Last fall I was almost hit 3 separate times while walking (with the walk sign) through a crosswalk across a 4 lane local road. People coming out of my neighborhood at 5 am aren't really paying attention, they get the green light to turn left, they go. It's scary I could run but would my dog get hit in the process?SO because it is now getting dark again I ordered this great vest! I was so happy when I put it on this morning for the first time, it so bright!It proved itself useful within 2 minutes of getting out the door. I walked to the end of my street where there is a stop sign and no crosswalk. Usually at 5 am people blow through the stop sign because no one else is driving in the area at that time. I was near the street and a car came speeding around, saw me and came to a screeching halt! No one ever sees me there, I usually run across that crossing.So happy to have my bright pink vest! If you made one for the dog, Id get that too, although my male Lab named Boss might prefer a different color. :-)
