I bought this because I was researching a relative who was in a S Battery in the last year of the war and I wanted to understand what the role of the battery was and how they operated etc. This is immensely helpful and comprehensive, written by the lieutenants who took part. It traces the movements of the battery and is really good on detail, naming the places where they were positioned. Its rare to discover such a book on the Siege Battery and I am putting together a book based on my great uncles WW1 letters home, so this is most helpful and the relatives of the authors must be proud of their ancestors who documented their immense story.
