Useful, but not ideal
It is well machined and finished, but has too aspects that make it less than perfect.1. The adhesive on the female pad did not hold onto a CamRanger for long. I cleaned the CamRanger housing before attaching it. After a few days it fell off.2. It is difficult to get a really tight lock with the threaded wheels. This is typical of similar tripod mounts. The coarse 1/4-20 threads that are the standard for camera tripod mounts do not hold well. The angle of the threads is too steep. As a result, it isn't as rock solid as the name implies.I plan to clean the adhesive off the pad and glue it to the CamRanger case. One could try 3M double-sided tape. It tends to hold well.I might try some Loctite for the wheel that locks to the pad and just leave it attached to the CamRanger. The bottom wheel does not need to lock so tight to the flash shoe.

Of course you need something stronger than the adhesive tape to stick on the shoe adapter.

Get it and get some double sided tape too
It's good, it works fine, except the tape. I recommend purchasing some strong permanent double sided tape if you are going to stick this to something, which is what it is designed to do.

I'd say it failed horribly. The adhesive part should've been a solid piece ...
It broke the instant I tried tightening the top piece to the mount piece. The bit with the adhesive on it is held to a plastic part by perhaps the thinnest layer of glue possible. Trying to fasten it nearly popped the top half of that piece off. Considering the point of this thing is to create a strong grip, I'd say it failed horribly. The adhesive part should've been a solid piece rather than two barely stuck together, especially for 22 dollars.

To keep in a tool box
I needed this to put my Camranger and my flash remote on the camera...this was like the duck tape when you need it

This is an item I will rarely use it is constructed well but just not worth buying I don't think

So Easy
Mounted to my CamRanger. Is a easy mounting solution to you camera or rig. Good grib and still able to fit into the camrangers case. Best and easiest way I found to mount things to a cold shoe or 1/4 mount.
