Q: Can the brushes be stored bristle side up as an organizer?

Yes, you can use it to store brushes bristle side up. Not sure about the Sigma brushes but due to the thickness of my brushes (mainly Sonia G, Chikuhodo, and Wayne Goss), it was impossible to use use every slot on the tower since you slots are so narrow and close together. It also did not work for really thick brushes. I was able to use around 85% of the slots if I arranged everything well.
