Great range of signal, plug and play.
I ordered this instead of paying $5 monthly rent to my Internet supplier. Came very fast in mail. Cable installer just plugged it in and it worked great right away. I didn't have to do anything but set the password per instructions. Was very easy to do and I'm not that tech savvy. This Foscam model provides a fast strong Signal that works in every room. I live in an 1200 SQ ft condo and can easily pick up 4 bars signal in the parking garage or outside in the yard. Has a short power cord, you may have to use an extension to move it where you'd like it. No lag in movies playing or Internet surfing. Good for VOIP calls, I make face time calls a lot.

Anything but the most basic setup will require a lot of knowledge or trial and error, be careful about your security.
Nice for the price. What is lacking is documentation. There are several interesting modes possible (Universal Repeater, WISP, etc) but the documentation and online help reveal a tech writer just trying to get out the door at 5 o'clock. Playing around with it I have managed to get a non-wifi equipped device to have network access, but in the process I managed to allow unprotected access to my network (even though WPS-AES was configured and even necessary for it to join my network in the first place) and then stopping that problem still made other devices in the area choose this repeater over my main radios and not be able to get access at all. I'm sure it all makes sense to someone who built it, or someone with a degree in wireless networking, but they are keeping all that nice info and simple examples to themselves.

Good Product, Absolutely No Product Support
I will not buy a Foscam product again. It is not because of the product itself, but the total lack of customer service. First let me say that the included instructions are among the worst I have ever seen. After finally figuring out the instructions, I did the initial set-up per the included instructions. This resulted in the WiFi working but my computer that was hard wired to the internet through the Foscam would not connect to the internet. Foscam instructions say call our customer service. So, guess what, I did call customer service. I was put in line behind six other people and surprisingly actually talked to a person within 15 minutes. That was the good part about customer service, the bad part was I got a Junior service representative and as soon as I said I had a technical problem he stated I can't help you, let me have a Senior technical representative call you back within 30 minutes. Well no call within 30 minutes, so I started doing what I should have done from the start. I used Google to search for solutions. Finally after four hours of searching and much trial and error and a call to Verizon DSL customer service representative I have my system set up and operating, but still no call back from the Senior technical representative at Foscam. It's now been operating very well for a week but guess what I still haven't heard from the technical service representative and no surprise probably never will. While they may produce a good product, their customer service is among the worst I've encountered and would keep me from purchasing any Foscam products in the future. By combination of internet, luck, and a Verizon DSL customer service representative I figured out that there were some interesting interactions between Verizon DSL, Verizon DSL Modem, and the Foscam FR305 that required accessing their individual set-up menus to correct. I do give high marks to the Verzion service rep who provided me with the most help in solving the problems I was encountering.

Works well, good power output, set-up software easy to use.
I have a network of 12 wifi cameras on a stand-alone network using this router. The Ethernet output of this router feeds into one input of a routing-modem which feeds into my internet cable connection. The camera network is a secondary network with my primary network also being stand-alone and the camera network and my primary network do not see each other. The FOSCAM router has port-forwarding capability (but only for 10 devices) and this allows me to forward 10 of my cameras onto the network where they are serviced my third-party DNS account so that I can view them remotely on my smart phone. The router works like a charm. Although I can only forward 10 of my 12 cameras, the forwarding setup was easy and only took a few minutes to accomplish without any problems. I like this router.

Nightmare!
Also have a Foscam outdoor cam. Worst firmware connection and configuration methods I've encountered. After hours of googling finally got it working then picking a month later couldn't get it working again. Nightmare! Never purchase from Foscam again.
