It is used to adjust the size of the hat's circumference, so that each hat can fit better with every different child. 2. Is it machine washable? Yes. We have tested it that there's no problem with washing in a machine, but please make sure to use cold water. 3. Will the hat too heavy? Not at all. Great Hat. Worth the Price.
Bought this hat because it has a drawstring that would likely help keep the hat on my kids head. Baby loves to take hats off her head and the ones with Velcro or ties just never stay on. My 15 month old can not take this hat off no matter how hard she tries!It is a good quality hat, durable, washes well and will last a long time because there is also a drawstring around the head circumference. It has a nice wide brim as well so does shade more than some. It is expensive but hopefully we will have it for a long time to come. Assuming it doesn’t get tossed out of the buggy by a fussy toddler at some point!

Perfect
Brought for my 7 week old baby as all hats have been too big but desperately need one to protect him in the sunshine. Seems to be a real lack of boys hats with proper sun protection.Fits brilliantly - the draw string on hat and under the chin mean it fits perfectly with growing room. Hat has a good brim all round for protection but he is still able to see out!So pleased I brought it...going to buy a second :-)

Not breathable!
I was very excited about this hat (ordered the white one), as he had a similar one but lost it. Put it on my toddler’s head and i’ve notice his face going more and more red. I didn’t think it was the hat, so when we got to the car (after 30 min of wearing it) both cheeks very red and when i took the hat off, hair was wet under. I am quite disappointed, as I wasn’t expecting that. He wasn’t overdressed and we never had this problem in the past with previous hat (a different brand i think).

Gorgeous little hat with room to grow
This hat is gorgeous. It’s a nice light material, but still blocks the sun. Pretty colours. Drawstring tightens around head and under neck. Fit my 11-month old no problem.

Smart and practical
This is reqlly good quality and a great shape to keep the little ones face shaded. The strap worka well and doesnt seem yo cause any irritation under the chin. There is a strap on the hat too so if it is a littlw big you can make it tighter. With the underchin strap I didnt feel the need to do this but its a good idea. Arrived quickly too
