Really nice full seat bidet for a good price.
The $35 under-the-seat mounting style bidet I have been using for a few years started getting leaky and covered in water deposits so I went hunting for a new one. This full seat style appealed to me because the under-the-existing-seat attachment styles can be really hard to keep clean around the mounting bracket. My tank to bowl-front dimensions barely cut it for this one so I was worried it's seat lid would hit the toilet tank lid and all that but it worked out fine. I was mentally preparing to buy a new toilet for the bidet if necessary because I am NOT LIVING WITHOUT A BIDET! The seat was easy to mount, you take your old seat off and shove these drywall anchor style plastic things into the mounting holes for the seat to bolt down onto with philips head bolts, which I liked better than having to struggle with the typical under the toilet nut style mounting. The plastic anchor thing didn't hold great on one side and was coming up as I was screwing the bolt in but I backed the bolt most of the way and beat it back down further and it held better this time and good enough so the seat can't move around too much. They do include plastic nuts for the bolts if the plastic anchors don't work out for you. The seat slides on to the plate you just mounted and should click in place and release if you push a button on the side of the seat next to the self cleaning valve. All that worked out fine for me. Next is hooking up the water lines and the included metal T-adapter. Again I was worried do to a previous review talking about none of this working out with American fittings, and I thought that was going to be the case for me as well at first because the instructions seem to show you mounting the T-adapter directly to the water shutoff valve coming out of the wall which doesn't work out because the shutoff valve's outlets here are much smaller. The T-adapter is meant to be mounted directly to your toilet. Shut your water valve, flush to empty most of the water from your toilet tank to avoid leakage while you're messing with it, unscrew the waterline from the toilet then screw the T-adapter to the toilet making sure it's rubber washer is sitting flat in the nut, then screw your waterline to the bottom of that. The bidet waterline connects to the side of the T-adapter then to the bidet, it's lever can control pressure to the bidet and shut it's water supply off completely without affecting the toilet. Hand tighten everything and give a VERY slight wrench turn to metal fittings if any are leaking slightly, if they are leaking a lot take them off and make sure they are screwed in properly and any rubber washers are in good condition and seated flat and try again. Avoid using anything but your hand if possible especially on anything plastic like your toilet connection or the bidet's waterline connection. Most plumbing connections aren't meant to be wrench tightened like you're putting a car engine back together. There is a pressure regulator shoved into the bidet's water supply connection (where you screw it's water supply in) which they tell you to pull out if you're not getting enough pressure. I tried it with the regulator in but it was too weak, a bidet should have enough water pressure to give you a pretty good hosing and pop it's water nozzles out properly. If you are getting a weak stream instead of a proper blasting you can can pull the regulator out with a pair of needle nose pliers or whatever, it doesn't unscrew or anything it just pulls out.You can limit pressure with the T-adapter anyway. Once I took the regulator out I was thrilled with it's performance. It looks really good, the seat is a little weird because it's setup for bidet action unlike your average toilet seat, which is a good thing so you don't get rouge splashing leaving the bowl. It doesn't feel as solid as your average thick and heavy toilet seat but it feels very structurally sound and you just give the seat and or lid a little push and they close gently.I am very happy with it so far and love that it's set up really well for keeping it clean, for a very thorough cleaning you can just shut the T-adapter valve, unscrew the water line from the bidet and push the button on the side to slide the whole thing right off.

Great bidet seat for round toilets!
We already have the GenieBidet Seat - Self Cleaning Dual Nozzles. Rear & Feminine Cleaning - No wiring required. Simple 20-45 minute installation or less. Hybrid T with ON/OFF Included! (ROUND) installed on one of our toilets. That one is great! However, because of the shape of my toilet tank the lid on the GenieBidet kept wanting to close. There just wasn't enough clearance between the lid and the tank for it to stay open without some effort. I don't blame GenieBidet because it clearly showed the space needed for the lid to stay up but I took a gamble on it and lost. Luckily, it fit on one of our other toilets.I then found this Hibbent Round bidet seat and the lid shape looked concave enough that I thought it would work with our tank. Lo and behold, it does! Construction and materials seem fine. The installation of this and the GenieBidet seat are pretty much identical so it took my less than 15 minutes to get it all put in and adjusted. I was familiar enough that I didn't even really look at the included instructions. I like that this unit came with both a plastic T-connector and a metal/hybrid adjustable T-connector. I opted for the adjustable metal T-connector because (1) it's adjustable and (2) it looks nicer. Installation required only a Phillips screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. I initially removed the water regulator to increase the flow but found the spray to be much too powerful so I re-installed it. A big plus is that the bidet seat snaps off for easy cleaning. The seat fits well on my round toilet. If I had one criticism it would be that the seat area on the sides is kind of narrow. This isn't really a problem, but it's noticeably narrower than a regular plastic toilet seat. Just wanted to point that out. Also, in case anyone is wondering about your "personal fitment", the length of the opening is 10.5" long. I tried asking the manufacturer but for whatever reason they refused to provide me with that info. This bidet seat works well. The bum spray is just the right width and angle, but you may have to get used to sitting in the right spot. I tried the front spray as well just to make sure it worked and it seemed gentle enough. Being a man I'm not 100% qualified to say whether it was aimed in the right spot or not. LOL! The self-cleaning feature was also a nice addition.Overall, a great purchase if you are looking for a bidet seat for your round toilet.

My First Bidet
2 years in use update!-------------------------After 2 years of use, the seat is still working properly. I will have to say I really do miss having a bidet when I am traveling, or not at home. As far as only having a cold-water hook-up, I have found that for me it is not an issue. I will say that in some instances it makes the experience even more refreshing. I have never felt like the water was too cold. I do use about 4 sheets of TP to "Dry" with, but it has really reduced my TP usage.I will say probably the most difficult thing, mostly because not many talked about it, was learning how to do a little butt wiggle to increase the effectiveness of the water stream.A word of advice, when having a new housekeeper clean the bathroom for the first time, don't forget to explain the operation of the seat to them. Although a bit humorous when they accidently turned on the Bidet while cleaning and could not figure out how to turn the water off (They kept switching from front to back mode missing the middle "Off" position), it did make a small mess.I still like the look/styling. The controls are holding up and show no signs of wear. In the event it quits working I would purchase another one. Wish I would have done this earlier.I really like this design as it IMHO looks much better than the products you add to your own seat. Also it gets around some of the issues I saw in other product reviews about having to put spacers under the toilet seat to adjust for the adaptor height.Use) It took me a while to figure out there is a "Technique" and some gyrations needed to actually clean your bum, I found a YouTube video that helped me figure that part out. Also I need to check to see if there is an adjustment (I need to read the directions) so the nozzle hits a little further back, Right now I when I need to clean I have to lift the "Boys" up and slide a bit forward for me to clean everywhere. I was really concerned that the unit only had cold water, but even the first time using, it really was not an issue, Way better than taking a cold shower.Construction) No complaints. I will say the water control handle is plastic, and if one tried I expect it to be breakable, but technically I don't see that as a problem. I am a heavy guy, but the seat seems really sturdy. For the money, I do recommend this product. I have not decided if I am going to replace the rest of the toilet seats in the house yet, but I may try to at least do the guest bath just to see how people react! (Could be fun, or I may be cleaning up a lot of water) I like the simplicity of having this only connected to the cold water supply, I don't see a reason to spend more money for something that requires electricity or hot water plumbing. I may reconsider if I find a unit that the nozzle did the moving around, and a bum dryer, heated seat, and an artificial intelligence to make sure everything is clean down there! LOL.

Hits the spot.
My first bidet. First time I used it I laughed out loud it felt so funny. In So. Calif. water is always pretty warm, but I can imagine the water in the North East winter might be shocking if you aren't used to it. Now that I am used to it, using a bathroom without a bidet seems disgusting.I had to remove the pressure regulator (as instructed in the manual) because the pressure of the stream even on the highest setting was way insufficient. Without the regulator I only need to use it on the low setting. I'd be afraid to use it on the highest setting. At first it seemed like it was too far forward, forcing me to sit at the far front end of the seat, however, I soon realized you need to sit upright. I am used to sitting leaning forward and this was the problem. For me, I definitely still need a bit of TP to dry myself, but good aiming at sufficient pressure cleans well. The seat is small/narrow, and therefore a bit uncomfortable. This was done to allow the cover to fit around the edge of the seat. While this looks great when the cover is down, it may not work for you if you spend anymore than a minute or so sitting on it.No leaks. Easy to install. My Toto toilet is wide at the back so I couldn't use the 90 degree angle fitting as shown in the picture, but it worked out ok reversing the hose so the 90 was at the tee fitting.I definitely recommend the self cleaning option.

Previously ordered 2 seats several yrs ago. They work wonderful. Use of paper has dropped dramaticly. I recently added a 1/2 bath so I ordered a third one. Other than cleaning no maintenence has been required. Great product for the price.
