My only complaint is that it's quite large and definitely would not fit in someone's pocket.However it's extremely sturdy and well made. It is a bit on the heavy side because of the well-made metals but has extremely light beads.I do not wear rosaries around my neck as a rule but I would feel comfortable wearing this one to/from church if I knew I was going to use it because I don't think it would be mistaken for jewelry.

This rosary exceeded my expectations. I bought it because I love the color blue, and I'm delighted that it features three wonderful shades of blue. The wood beads are a deep dark blue, and the cord is a warm dark brown that pairs richly with the beads. The cross is a bright medium blue that makes me think of Chartres blue and has a jewel-like quality about it, and I'm happy that both sides of the cross are this blue, and both sides of the cross are very beautiful, unlike rosaries that have one side of the cross flat and plain. One side of the medal is a medium-to-light blue that leans a little toward cornflower blue (a favorite of Vermeer and the color of the most valuable sapphires) that pairs perfectly with the red in the center, and with the silver on the other side of the medal. The medal sparkles just slightly and is coated in clear plastic which protects it and makes it smooth to the touch. The wood beads feel comfortable in the hand and slide along the cord as you go from bead to bead. The cross, medal, and beads of this rosary are really big compared with other rosaries. It gives you a lot to hold in your hand and has a lot of heft to it. They say St. Benedict medals protect you from evil. This oughta do it!

The description said this rosary could be used as a necklace. In my opinion the cross and centerpiece are too large and heavy for that. Did I consider returning it? Not for a moment. After all the main reason to have a rosary is for praying. The other reason for keeping it is that it’s simply a beautiful, well made rosary that the craftsmen should get high praise for.
