Easy to use and accurate uric acid test strips
My husband was recently diagnosed with gout, but had no way to figure out where his uric acid levels were, other than his doctor telling him to take medication and have his levels checked twice a year... which seemed insufficient and not enough.I myself use a meter and test strips to check my blood glucose levels, which gave him the idea to search for something like this that would measure uric acid levels. In his search he came upon the UA Sure II testing kit and test strips, and after reading many positive reviews he decided to buy the kit (meter and test strips). He is as happy as can be because those this meter uses test strips that show him where his numbers are, also realizing that his levels were higher when eating certain foods and lower when he avoided those. And thanks to this meter he can now easier figure out what to eat and what to avoid (still learning though), and as a wonderful side effect the pain he had in his joints for years, blaming it on 'old age' and arthritis, was and is getting better when he is able to keep his levels in the 6 range....but before had no way to know where they were. This alone is worth the price of those test strips that are needed for this meter because they are rather expensive, especially when you want to check your uric acid levels each day. Which is the only negative thing I have to say about this meter, the high price to actually be able to check the uric acid levels. This UA Sure II meter itself is a life changer for my husband, especially with the "side effect" I already mentioned that the pain in his joints got so much better and he is still amazed by this, he had forgotten how it feels to not have joint pain 24/7. 5 stars :-)

UA Sure II Blood Uric Acid Test Strips Deliver!
I've now been using UA Sure Test strips since learning of this product thru the well-written book, DropAcid. I'm a MD by training and a hyperuricemic patient by diet/heredity. I've already purchased my 3rd refill order since first buying them in June'23. I find them easy to use and a critical and necessary adjuvant for my Uric Acid blood level maintenance protocol; I could not do it without them!!! [BTW, I have forgotten to use the 10% repurchasing incentive that UASURE has offered with each purchase (next time, I'll use it!!)]. I've waited till I have been using the strips daily for over 6 months to write this review. Wishing all of you 'Lower Levels of Uric Acid'! ~StuART

What exactly is my uric acid test result
My uric acid for years has mostly been between 6 and 8, is it too high, I'm not sure, though the doctor doesn't seem to be concerned. On the 16th day of using the UASure test kit I had a doctors appointment for a blood test. The URAsure reading at 5am was 7.2 ,the blood test reading at 9am, after two cups of black coffee, which was allowed with a fast, and they say coffee lowers uric acid, was 6.8. So in my opinion the UASure test kit would seem to be fairly accurate. Since I've gotten the test kit using it almost every day my uric acid has been between 6 and 8. I'll keep using it and work to reduce my uric acid through diet and supplements using the test kit as a guide. I'm glad it was available.

The UA II. Meter is worth the upgrade from the UA 1
Test strips for the UA 1 meter were getting harder to find. The UA II version meter works faster and test strips are more available. I have been using meter daily for 8 months . It has helped me make diet changes. I have not had a gout attack since using meter.

The most reliable home test you can buy
I was recently diagnosed with gout. As a relatively young and active person, I immediately decided to take a proactive role in the management of this troubling disease. High uric acid is the leading risk factor for uncontrolled gout, and the recommended testing interval every 6-12 months seemed insufficient to me. I purchased the UASure meter since it got the best reviews on Amazon, and the price was not much different than imported versions that appeared to be of dubious quality. Now that I've used it extensively, I can confidently recommend the UASure meter to anyone who wishes to gain insight into their own battle with this disease.I test daily, which is a bit neurotic, but has helped me figure out how different foods, alcohol, and activities like exercise and intermittent fasting affect my uric acid level. During the first 6 weeks of use, I got a weekly lab test to see if the device was performing as advertised. I believe the company claims the device, when used correctly, should yield results +/- 0.5 mg/dL of your actual uric acid value. I can confirm that my results fell within this range; three of my lab tests fell within 0.2 mg/dL of my UASure value, one was exactly the same, and two were off by 0.4-0.5 mg/dL. I should note that uric acid levels do fluctuate over the course of the day, so it would be surprising if they all lined up exactly. To my mind, the results have been close enough to lab tests that I feel confident this is a useful diagnostic tool, if you're interested in tracking uric acid. It's important to follow the instructions carefully, and my initial results were somewhat inconsistent due to poor testing technique. I contacted UASure's customer service via email on two occasions, and received immediate replies that were very thorough and helpful, to get my technique dialed in. I can now attribute some initial frustration with the device to my own testing technique, and my guess is that some of the bad reviews here reflect people who never made it through this learning curve, which is a shame. I would encourage you to contact their customer service, if you have any issues.I have attached some graphs of the data I've been able to collect by using the meter. Tracking my diet, exercise, alcohol intake, etc. has helped lower my anxiety about day to day fluctuations, and has given me confidence that an occasional beer or two, or a hamburger, won't ruin my joints. I'm also gaining insight into the role that exercise plays in my uric acid level, and I believe that I may be able to manage my gout without the need for medication.
